However I happened to see it on a carpet and as acting athlete – the wrestler. Therefore conversation with Vitaly ChIChININYM at us went strictly about Greco-Roman wrestling which else called French or classical.

– Vitaly, tell why your choice fell on wrestling, instead of on any other sport?

– I will begin with that my big brother Vladimir started being engaged in due time in wrestling in the sports hall "Locomotive" at our relative Vasily Egorovich Chichinin. By the way, the wrestler known in Khakassia the master – sports of the international class Alexander Talachev was his pupil. When it came from training home, always to me showed new exercises about which learned on occupations. I lit up and wanted to go too to wrestling section, but Volodya told: "You are still small for this purpose, you will grow up – you will go". While I grew, was engaged in chess and drawing in the Palace of pioneers. Then we together with my companion Alexey decided to register in boxing section, in the same place in "Locomotive". Came there and face to face faced Victor Nikolaevich Narylkov, the wrestling coach. Got to talking and when he learned my surname and that I am Volodya Chichinin's younger brother, I heard: "What else boxing? ! Give to me – on wrestling". Probably so it was necessary for destiny. And I liked to wrestling at once, and my companion went on trainings no more than two months. The first year we on trainings didn't meet Vladimir as went at school to different changes. Then were engaged together, and this fact played a considerable role in formation me as wrestler.

– You are the master of sports of Russia, not the USSR?

– Yes – Russia. My friend Evgeny Bazhendayev was the last who from wrestlers "Creco-Romans" became the master of sports of the USSR. I later half a year after it won masterful tournament which already was All-Russian, instead of All-Union.

– In what weight category you fought?

– First to 62 kilograms, then to 68 kilograms. In a word, constantly I was in borders of these weight categories. Therefore sometimes it was necessary to drive weight, sometimes on the contrary – to gather. In general these weight categories were very cheerful as in them gathered most of all participants. Therefore also fights it was necessary to carry out more.

– Who then was considered as a favourite in this weight?

– The first numbers of national team were Islam Duguchiyev – the numerous world champion, Sergey Martynov the prize-winner of the Olympic Games, the deserved master of sports.

– You had to meet them on a carpet?

– Yes, when came on educational and training collecting. I happened to train as a part of national team in 1993 in Mineralnye Vody and in Alushta twice.

There sparrings and, naturally were carried out, I too participated in them. Fought both with that, and with another – I selected points, I carried out receptions. Actually, they are the same people, as well as I as are capable of mistakes.

– In what year you finished the sports career?

– In 1997, I was 23 years old …

– Rather early.

– In principle – yes. But then time was another. On competitions went seldom as money wasn't. And then it was necessary somehow itself in life to arrange.

– Began to work by profession?

– It is a little. In the Khakass-Turkish college was engaged in the transfer theory, tutoring.

However wrestling moved, and I settled the trainer. Now I am the senior trainer in DYuSh of single combats. I am engaged with children in the school No. 22 sports hall. I trained some masters of sports: Artem Tyulberov, Alexander Golubin, George Borgoyakov, Roman Barashkov, Igor Takhtobin.

The work I love, I have from it big satisfaction. It is possible to tell that I in life was lucky. Including it was lucky on good people who always help me is my trainer Gennady Vasilyevich Sultrekov, the president of republican Federation of wrestling Vadim Ilyich Topoyev, the director of our sport school Lyudmila Nikolaevna Fedyaeva, principal No. 22 Lyubov Ivanovna Shishlyannikova.

– Children are engaged in wrestling?

– I have son Timur, he is 12 years old. Now goes to me to a hall though before did swimming, I went to musical and art schools. I didn't interfere with it, the person at his age can look for the way to lives.

– That he will be engaged in fight it is exact. I saw how he cried after lost fight. Means, there are ambitions without which in sports it is impossible.

– Refereeing helps you with trainer's work?

– Undoubtedly. Wrestling can be known simply as the athlete. And when you also the judge, and the trainer, before you open her new parties.

– Whom could you call the idol in Greco-Roman wrestling?

– Yes isn't present. Simply judicial rules were at that time others. They equalized possibilities of athletes different in force.

– Your opinion on the fact that Greco-Roman wrestling want to exclude from the program of Olympic Games?

– In 2016 it it will be unambiguous. Conversation goes about the 2020th. Certainly, there is in it a big absurdity. Since antique times on the Olympic Games without fail there was a track and field athletics and Greco-Roman wrestling. Another thing is that after a number of experiments with rules staginess of our sport was gone. At present are taken already steps on elimination of these mistakes. For example, the championship of Russia and last University games took place by new rules. I think, this work will proceed further. In September of this year in Argentina at session of the International Olympic committee the final decision on the matter will be made. To me as to the judge, too it is interesting, what else changes will happen in rules. So the slogan "Let's Rescue Wrestling as Olympic Sports Waters" is realized, and we will defend the wrestling!
