What turned out tournament in Tbilisi? From outside it seemed that you easily finished with rivals...

— The championship was difficult, but I wasn't adjusted on easy wrestling. Same Europe, instead of superiority of Volga region or Russia. In my weight winners and prize-winners of the World Cups acted, and everyone dreamed to become the first.

Present tournament strongly differs from the European championship — 2001 when you became for the first time the champion of the Old World?

— Then rules were ideal. Now we only start coming back to them. At that time thanks to judges didn't win. The result depended on athletes. With age I became quieter, and also is more skilled and is wiser. But the most important, still I want to wrestling and win.

What wrestling on tournament turned out the heaviest?

—  Perhaps, the first — with Azerbaijanian Samanom Takhmaseboy.  Last year it spoiled to me mood in the European championship in Belgrad therefore the duel with Takhmaseboy was for me basic.  Finished with the Romanian, then with the Swede...

European championship behind. Now rest?

—  Yes, I depart to the warm countries to restore forces after heavy tournament.  There is a wish to swim for a while at the ocean, to eat exotic products...  When I will return home, first of all I will drop in to mother to Ruzaevka

When again you will come to a carpet?

— Most likely, in June. In the championship of Russia which will take place in St. Petersburg.

Someone from the Mordovian wrestlers will be able to come to world level in the near future?

—  Certainly, in Mordovia there is a good youth.  In particular, recently brothers Pavel and Evgenia Saleev fine added.  The pasha won recently tournament in Turkey where finished with rivals who spoke then at the European championship in Tbilisi.  Vasily Parshin started submitting adult level.  It is just necessary to wait any time.

In 34 years it is time to equip private life also...

I agree, it at me is slowly adjusted. In the personal plan too everything is good. Not to maleficiate, in advance I won't begin to open secrets. But, probably, very soon about everything you learn.
