In decisive fight the Pole couldn't do anything with the Ukrainian. Oleynik completely supervised a situation on a carpet. In two periods I won a victory - and I became the champion of Europe.

About how the first European medal of the highest test and about mysterious rivals was given, Pavel Oleynik told in "SE" interview.

NOW I AM READY TO CONQUER THE WORLD

- Such feeling that after this victory I became more adult. - Pavel Oleynik took the floor.

Certainly, the rank of the champion of Europe adds confidence. And with new victories the purposes grow also. Now there is a wish to conquer the world. (Laughs). Especially as on world championships I hadn't to act yet. For the European championship purposefully prepared nearly half a year. I passed selection - and approached to competitions in a good form.

- I think, you see, that an important role played a lot Tbilisi, after all on a course of competitions you didn't meet one of favourites of tournament …

- Probably, the lot partly affected result of competitions. But, as they say, the winner is always right. (Smiles). For me initially had no value who will struggle with me. I was ready to meet any rival because wanted to win. I was adjusted on each fight separately: at first on the Bulgarian of Lubin Iliyev, then on Slovak Joseph Zhalovyarai so further. I consider, with each meeting I added. Before the ending to me too was all the same who comes with me to a carpet: Russian or Pole.

- Whether there was for you surprise a defeat of double Olympic prize-winner Hetaga Gazyumov from Azerbaijan already in a quarterfinal from Russian Vladislav Baytsayev?

- Frankly speaking, I thought that the Azerbaijanian will win fight. However Baytsayev strong rival. I consider, in Russia in general there are no weak wrestlers. Besides to it on a hand I played youth. Gazyumov "at sunset" the career. The new generation now in general "props up" (Smiles). Probably, and this time youth took up over experience.

- Often for wrestlers of the most intense the first fight because it is necessary to feel a carpet turns out, to estimate the forces. However in Tbilisi you started from a sure victory over Iliyev - 3:0, 2:1.

-  Assured the victory looked only from outside.  The first fight for me turned out really the heaviest.  After it muscles became numb, the fatigue and tension was felt.  It is good that there was time to be restored before the following meeting.  Further - me it was already easier.

- Quarterfinal and semifinal fights developed at you approximately according to one scenario: you conceded in the first period, but in the subsequent two - were rehabilitated. Admit, managed to be frightened after starting two-minutes for destiny of a meeting?

- Never I worry when I lose in the first period. No panic is present. It is my tactics. I initially know that in the second, third period I add - and rivals "break". Neither at me, nor at trainer's structure of fear for result wasn't. Everything went according to the plan. Total account direct to that proof.

- Well, but if to remember, for example, semifinal fight with Egzon Shal, the account of the first period 8:2 in its advantage - far didn't encourage …

- With the Albanian all first period was attacked by me. It could catch me on counterattacks. Shala for me the inconvenient rival. Earlier we didn't meet it therefore I couldn't adapt at once. I didn't know how to fight against it. But after the first period understood, trainers prompted the correct approach. At similar competitions practically all rivals you know as already it happened to fight with them, and new - the real riddle.

- Kamil Skaskevich, despite defeat in the ending, managed to surprise you with something?

- I think, the first period of our fight became decisive. I "broke" at once the Pole. Coming to the second period, already I understood that it has no chances of a victory.

- Skaskevich changed from the moment of your meeting in the European championship-2011?

- It is visible that he added physically. Besides in a semi-final he won fight against the same Baytsayev, quite strong athlete. It already indicator! Therefore I was seriously adjusted on the ending.

- You were ready to a revenge with Baytsayev?

- Honestly to admit, I thought that in the ending I will meet the Russian. Validly to take desire from me a revenge. When trainers entered into a locker room and told that the Pole won against Baytsayev, I was a little surprised.

WE WITH ANDREYTSEV NOT ENEMIES

- It turns out, what absence of personal trainer Nikolay Taradaya didn't affect your performance in Tbilisi?

- On a course of competitions we called up to Nikolay Petrovitch. Before the championship it could adjust me correctly. And, despite distance, I felt its support.

- Eleven medals of our national team on the European superiority can be considered as a revenge for unsuccessful performance of team in London?

- I think and. The new Olympic cycle began. The trainer's staff sets high tasks to Rio de Janeiro. Our national team has to win more medals on the following Olympic Games. Everything that will depend on us, athletes, we will make. I don't undertake to predict result, my business - to show it.

- Valery Andreytsev, the representative of your weight category, became the only wrestler who returned with the Olympic award from London. Reflected, you could show similar result if got on the Olympic Games?

- I think, you shouldn't argue on this subject: I could, I couldn't. It only words. Everything needs to be proved in practice.

- With Valery you are companions or after all more competitors?

- Hostility between us precisely isn't present. Certainly, when on trainings we come to a carpet, we are rivals. But out of it we communicate, there are no problems.

- Many wrestlers have problems with a weight: on the eve of competitions it is necessary to dump that, to take him. What you will tell about yourself?

- With a weight at me never was problems. The main advantage - I shouldn't "drive" it. I don't suffer, as children in smaller weight categories. Sometimes I even feel sorry for them: "drive" for days on end weight, and next day it is already necessary to come to a carpet.

ALREADY I REGRET THAT TOLD ABOUT OUR SPARRINGS WITH MERLENI

- In the childhood you were Irina Merleni's sparring partner. Earlier in interview to our edition said that "it simply scoffed at you on a carpet". Would like to carry out today fight with Merleni?

- Really, when only I came to wrestling, the trainer put me on sparrings with Ira. But it was at most two-three times.

- If after all it was necessary to come again to a carpet with Merleni …

- You want to ask, I would recoup? Would revenge? Today we with it in different weight categories.

- Who knows, probably it would be again stronger than you? !

- When there is free time, like to read fiction. Here now I read the novel "Idiot" of Fedor Dostoevsky.
