"Karelin Fund" founded new tournament on Greco-Roman wrestling which "Power of traditions" will be called. The premiere is scheduled on October 12, 2013. The city Novosibirsk becomes a venue. The organizing committee of tournament was headed by the governor of the Novosibirsk region Vasily Yurchenko.

- Passed two years since we put an end in the history of "Karelin's Prize", - the three-fold winner of Olympic Games Aleksandr Karelin speaks. - And all this time in our address was many questions from different people why after carrying out the 20th "Karelin's Prize" we decided to stop? I respond: we didn't stop, we simply took a break. Any idea is finite, with it it is difficult to argue. "Prize" was good in a context of the 90th and the first decade of the 2000th. We offered other vision in the organization of tournaments on Greco-Roman wrestling. Our many innovations are now replicated not only in different regions of Russia, but these techniques work and abroad, in case of the organization of representative competitions of level of superiority of a planet and the European championships. And, not only on Greco-Roman wrestling, but also on other sports.

With tasks which we set for ourselves, - increase in quantity engaged, revival of traditional sections and schools, opening of new halls, optimization of activities regional wrestling federations, - "Prize" consulted. Now we can speak not only about techniques, about level of carrying out tournament, but also about cooperation school which for two tens years there passed thousands people, including our partners and representatives of regional and municipal administrations of those edges and areas of the Siberian region where we carried out "Prize". These are tens of thousands more of audience, wrestlers, arbitrators, trainers … We found a wide range of adherents. "Prize" was an event which looked forward. I will especially mark a role of mass media. Support of journalists helped to create a healthy agiotage. Children, teenagers, adults went on wrestling that for to understand that it for such sport about which so often write in newspapers, tell by radio and show on television. The press center of tournament became a peculiar club of communication of venerable journalists and their young colleagues. Together they let out "wrestling leaves", did interesting interviews, reportings.

- And what, connected to this tournament, gives to you a reason for special pride?

- The reason for pride not only for me, for all residents of Novosibirsk was presented by the three-fold winner of "Prize" Roman Vlasov, in 2012 it won gold XXX of Olympic Games and now adequately represents Victor Mikhaylovich Kuznetsov's school, the Novosibirsk region and Russia at competitions of planetary level.

- It is possible to tell that "Prize" was courageous experiment. How you consider why your command managed a lot of things?

- Because we approach to the organization of any action informally. Here and by preparation for any of tournaments "Karelin's Prize" of templates wasn't. Creativity in the Karelin-Fonda command - one of mandatory requirements by tournament preparation. We with colleagues wanted to introduce something new in each following tournament or to strengthen successful accents of tournaments last. After Roman Vlasov became the second Novosibirsk "Greek-римляном", got Olympic Games "gold", we aren't able to afford to hold separate nominal tournaments. It is part of our general traditions. "Prize" never was an element of a so-called cult of personality, and always served wrestling. Also it is impossible to exclude probability of appearance in the near future of other children who will ascend to peak of a sporting Olympus. Therefore, they too shall be recognizable, shall have an opportunity the an example to advocate occupations Greco-Roman wrestling.  And such tournaments with the overflowed tribunes, activity of fans and the high level of the competition work better than any words.  As speak, a picture is worth a thousand words!

- The name "Power of Traditions" has ideologically something in common with "Prize" because 5 years in a row these words were the motto of your tournament …

 - We began to experiment mottoes, since 11th "Prize". We had different phrases: "Be the strong! ", "Time to wrestling, to win against time", "Believe in itself", "Point of honour", "Superiority art". In 2007 there was "Power of traditions", there was a tournament anthem. Earlier any motto didn't live so long, and this phrase appeared the most successful, the most capacious, the most clear.

- Earlier "Prize" was carried out only in those cities of Siberia where there were no winners of the Olympic Games. There was only one exception - your native Novosibirsk. Whether this history with new competitions will repeat?

- Really, we had such self-restriction as speak, on a territorial sign. Now it isn't present. "Power of traditions" - concept which integrates all winners of the Olympic Games appearing in USSR national teams and Russia. Holding tournament in the Siberian earth, we will place emphasis on those wrestlers who was born in Siberia who represented our edge and benefited tournaments of planetary scale, we will express respect to trainers, we will mark nobility of work of instructors. Not only those who brought up the titled wrestlers, but also what pupils "simply became" responsible, purposeful people. "Power of traditions" is a part of the planetary program which passes under the motto: "Wrestling. To be continued! ". This motto, and only with exclamation point, will be actual in case of any outcome of vote at session of the International Olympic committee in Buenos Aires concerning the Olympic future of wrestling.
