At the end of this week on sessions of the International Olympic committee in Buenos Aires will decide, whether will include wrestling in the program of Olympic Games of 2020. Residents of Yakutsk about it organized the stock "Wrestling for Wrestling", including our eminent athletes.

On February 12, 2013 the sporting world was stirred up literally by news that executive committee the IOC recommended to exclude wrestling from the Olympic program. Having recovered from shock, fans of wrestling rose in defense of a favourite sport.

In Yakutia members of "Young guard of the United Russia" within the All-Russian stock "Wrestling for Wrestling" organized petition under the open letter in the International Olympic committee.  11 thousand signatures of residents of Yakutsk were collected.

The other day to Yakutsk there came the triple Olympic champion, the member of political council of United Russia party Aleksandr Karelin. The well-known athlete wasn't surprised what exactly residents of Yakutsk became initiators of the stock "Wrestling for Wrestling", and hoped that popular single combat remains in a family of the Olympic sports: "I here because this territory on the world map is designated as the territory of wrestlers. To wrestling returned those rules at which this sport was most popular among the audience. I hope that at big session the IOC all members after all will restore historical justice and will return to us, wrestlers, the right to remain in the Olympic program".

Wrestling has to remain

We asked three known people in a sporting world:  "What decision you expect from the IOC concerning wrestling? "

Olympic champion Pavel Pinigin not only put the signature under the open letter to the International Olympic committee, but also personally transferred him to the president of the Russian Olympic Committee, the First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Alexander Zhukov. The well-known wrestler, answering our question, it was categorical:

— I hope, the meeting with Jacques Rogge, the letter with signatures of thousands residents of Yakutsk to Alexander Zhukov, conversation with the member the IOC, double Olympic champion Sergey Bubka and representatives of Federation of wrestling of Russia, and also support of Federation of wrestling of RS(Ya) under the leadership of the president of Yakutia Egor Borisova, will prove that wrestling is the worthy member of the Olympic family. Wrestling — is meaning of the life of real men, it meets in its many spheres, learns to overcome difficulties and stressful situations in career and, eventually, brings up defenders of the homeland. Exactly thanks to wrestling about Yakutia learned in the world. I won't be able to go to Buenos Aires, but I will fixedly follow the developments and infinately I trust in a positive outcome because I know — management IOC has to consider opinion of multimillion army of admirers of wrestling worldwide. Thanks to fellow countrymen that acted in its ranks.

The Olympic prize-winner Alexander Ivanov is solidary with the companion:

—  Твердо it is sure that wrestling all the same remains, and on vote it will win with big overweight. Weight categories and rules will simply change, it has to add staginess. After all wrestling — from time immemorial the Olympic sport. When on February 12 it became known that the IOC is going to exclude wrestling from the Olympic program, I wasn't surprised. Simply to it all also went: management IOC wanted that wrestling medals got as it is possible for many countries, instead of several including Russia, to some extent it there was a business. Rules simplified, and wrestling became unentertaining, frankly speaking, I at all didn't want to look at it.

Fans, fellow countrymen! I am glad that you made the contribution to big business, I delivered to one of the first the signature under the open letter. Residents of Yakutsk love and appreciate wrestling, understand that it is the whole science, instead of pushing of two people. In recent years the wrestling philosophy was broken, but it will return, and with our help.

Hapsagay helps wrestlers

It is known that, taking the first steps in free-style wrestling, residents of Yakutsk successfully used methods the hapsagay. Unexpected cuttings and lightning passes to feet nonplused their rivals. Hapsagay was and remains the terrible weapon of the Yakut wrestlers. Therefore it was logical to take an interest in opinion of the director of the Republican center of national sports of a name of Vasily Mang-chaary Innokenti Grigoriev:

—  Told that residents of Yakutsk are interested in wrestling,   — it isn't enough, all of us will read it and we consider a primordial sport. Hapsagay it was always popular in our republic, people know and respect her masters. Wrestling receptions hapsagay at the difficult moments helped our many known wrestlers, including the glorified Olympians. Not only as the former athlete and the organizer of large competitions but also as the simple fan I consider the decision to exclude wrestling from the Olympic sports the wrong.

Didn't doubt that the open letter within the stock "Wrestling for Wrestling" will collect many signatures of our fellow countrymen. To be convinced as far as in Yakutia love free-style wrestling, it is enough to look at any tournament. It is convinced, all fellow countrymen believe that sports No. 1 in Yakutia will return on the Olympic carpet!

On the eighth of September at 19.45 Moscow time we learn results of vote of members the IOC for return of wrestling to the Olympic program. Whether it is necessary to speak, what result from it we expect?
