Anatoly Beloglazov, the Olympic champion, the triple world champion, the head coach of the men's national team of Republic of Belarus on free-style wrestling gave an assessment to a national team of the country on the eve of the European championship.

Anatoly Beloglazov: Today, summing up some results of the first year of work from the national team, I can tell that it is satisfied with the relation of wrestlers to preparation process: diligent children, pay much attention to trainings. Last tournaments revealed the main frame upon whom we will rest hopes in future European championships and the world, this is Ivan Yankovsky, Vladislav Andreyev, Asadula Lachinov, Ali Shabanov, Murad Gaydarov. The tournament which has passed in the past weekend on prizes A.V. Bear in many respects I became a reference point for a trainer's staff on candidates on the forthcoming European championship, I consider that a gain our wrestlers of nine medals of tournament a quite good indicator of level of readiness of team.

The outlined competition in the national team is pleasant: Omar Magomedov and Murad Gaydarov, in weight category to 86 kg in rigid wrestling held gold and silver medal events of tournament, can't rest on laurels, in the national team to them on heels there steps Sasha Gushtyn, in weight to 57 kg — Andreyev and Lachinov, in the weight of 65 kg a year ago the competition wasn't in general, and on last tournament Nurikov and Kantoyev pleased fans with the Belarusian final. To 74 kg Ali Shabanov, today, perhaps, out of competition, and sure positions of our repeated champion of the country Ivan Yankovsky pressed the strongest in the weight Yusup Dzhalilov. Similar tendencies are the best means stimulating wrestlers not to stand on a place, constantly to improve the tactical and technical arsenal, fiziko-functional readiness.

More than a year I train the national team of Belarus, at the time of arrival with regret I noted that always strong traditions of free-style wrestling still the Soviet school were partially lost, in many respects because of shortage of trainer's shots on places. It was joyful to watch this year wrestling on Superiority of the country about 300 young wrestlers – wrestlers, understanding that future reserve is formed. Today reproaches in the domination relation in the national team on free-style wrestling of legionaries from Dagestan aren't rare, but it is necessary to recognize that those leading children whom we invite in the national team, in a result and bring medals of prestigious world championships to Republic of Belarus. Today we consider them, as leaders of team on the example of whom national shots will grow. Our example isn't single, similar practice was present in due time in Ukraine, and in other republics of the former Union there were such moments.

The last 15 years I worked in Russia, there the huge competition and there are different schools of wrestling: Dagestan, Ossetian, Yakut — all have original receptions, features of training process, in the national team there is an exchange of all saved up experience. Owing to the objective geographical reasons in Belarus similar processes are absent, however inflow of legionaries from traditionally strongest wrestling powers and is urged to enrich today's school of the Belarusian wrestling. In Belarus it is possible to note the centers — Mogilyov, Gomel, with strong wrestling representations, however there are also cities where in general free-style wrestling, for example, Brest isn't presented almost. Most the problem of trainer's shots is particularly acute and people on places aren't so given to trainer's process as it would be desirable.

Proceeding from the international experience, (seven years I worked in Canada, two years I trained in Australia) I can recognize, wrestling level in Belarus is much higher. Though, for example, in Canada the huge number of children is engaged in wrestling at universities, but to level of sports of high sporting achievements hold out units. In sports always I made a basis of achievements of the Belarusian wrestlers strong, possessing traditions of continuity, the trainer's school, today our task costs in preservation of these traditions and continuous improvement of work with younger generation.
