The Federation of Wrestling of Russia (FWR) will transfer to the Republic of Sakha-Yakutia of 20 wrestling mats "Olympus". On receiving carpets the president of FWR, the Olympic champion Mikhail Mamiashvili handed over the certificate to the Head of Yakutia Egor Borisov during the international tournament on free-style wrestling of memory of Roman Dmitriyev starting on March 8 in Yakutsk.
"These 20 carpets become the beginning of big and very serious program for wrestling development in Russia which FSBR will carry out with support of the state company "ALROSA", - Mikhail Mamiashvili emphasized. - We believe that on wrestling mats great sons who will glorify the edge and Russia as it was made by Roman Dmitriyev at the Olympic Games of 1972" will grow up.
Mikhail Mamiashvili also noted the importance of tournament of Roman Dmitriyev. "Tournament will immortalize memory of the person who has entered the people in history of the Olympic Movement, glorified domestic school of wrestling. He became the first Olympic champion in the history of Yakutia. Feat of the great athlete, the citizen and the patriot Roman Dmitriyev - the best example for Republic youth. The president Sakha-Yakutia Egor Borisov heads republican federation of wrestling.
