On February 26, the 21st Cup of the country came to the end with a victory of the Dagestan team.

The second place was taken by wrestlers of Kabardino-Balkaria, and it can be considered as success for the owners who have outstripped five teams. However the audience who has filled today Nalchik of the Palace of single combats "Gladiator", counted on the bigger. They furiously supported fellow countrymen, however, as tribunes tried, it didn't help local "gladiators" though first they fought desperately. So, Atmir Khromov (61 kg) and Ruslan Beslaneev (65 kg) order in the duels with the score 6:0, but nevertheless couldn't hold advantage, having conceded according to the Imam Adzhiyev and Haybule Shaalov. The joint account taking into account the first fight in which Artem Gebekov who has proved at these competitions by the real leader of team, won the next early victory, became 3:0.

After decisive team opposition the personal finals which winners acquired the right for participation in the June championship of Russia in Yakutsk took place. Six Dagestan wrestlers, however, to three from them — to the Imam Adzhiyev, Rasoul Magomedov and Dauren Kurugliyev received this right — victories got without fight. And three more — Artem Gebekov, Haybula Shaalov and Ramazan Magomedov — won the finals. Failure comprehended only the winner of a last year's Russian Cup Kamal Malikov which in a duel with Boris Makoyev, having advantage in two points after the first period, conceded with the score 2:6.

Thus, the Dagestan team which in Nalchik trainers Ali Iskhakov, Omaraskhab Kuramagomedov and Zelimkhan Guseynov directed, two years later returned itself a title of the owner of the Russian Cup.
