Within All-Ukrainian sports and mass actions "Sports winter" the Ternopol regional center of physical health of the population "Sports for all" together with regional children's and youth sports school "Spartak" held open tournament on free-style wrestling among cadets of 1999-2001, devoted to memory of the sixfold champion of Ukraine Mikhail Borovkov. Young athletes took part in tournament from the Ternopol ODYuSSh "Spartak", the Ternopol KDYuSSh No. 1, Borschevsky DYuSSh, Shumskaya, Podvolochisk, Zbarazh, Terebovli and Chertkov. And to Ternopol there arrived guests from SDYuSShOR "Athlete" from Lviv and the Lvov state school of physical culture - sports club "Leading Lviv", the Ivano-Frankovsk DYuSSh "Spartak", Kalushsky regional DYuSSh and Truskavetsky DYuSSh "Spartak", in Lvovshchina.

SC "Galitsky Lions" sports hall rustled the whole day with nurseries to voices, after all there were fierce disputes of rivals. This year tournament brought together 74 participants who competed only in ten weight categories from 32 to 85 kilograms. The chief judge of competitions - the judge of the international category - Sergey Grigoryevich Tsymbal.
