On the basis of Sports palace of a sports and improving complex of JSC "Southern GOK" passed the XIV Open All-Ukrainian tournament on free-style wrestling among young men 1997-1999 both girls 1998-2000 and 1994-1996, devoted to the 70th anniversary of liberation of Krivoi Rog from fascist aggressors.

At opening of tournament of athletes congratulated Evgeny Ryzhkov - the chairman of Inguletsky regional council, the honourable citizen of Krivoi Rog, and Ivan Kovalenko - the chairman of committee on physical culture and sport of executive committee of Krivorozhsky city council, the honored worker of physical culture and sport of Ukraine who in the speeches wished to wrestlers of sports good luck, worthy opponents and bright victories.

152 athletes took part in competitions (62 young men and 90 girls) from 15 cities of Ukraine, and also from the Azerbaijani and Belarusian Republics.

All champions and prize-winners of competitions were awarded by medals, diplomas and valuable presents.
