Participants of competitions of wrestlers steel from Siberia, the Urals and the Far East. They fought not only for medals. The winner in each weight category acquired the right for rank assignment "the master of sports of Russia". The Sakhalin region at these prestigious competitions the student represented 2 courses of office of a physical education of SAHGU Hamzat Hamidov. The results of performance of the pupil were summed up by the trainer Alexander Vaulin:

-  Hamzat competed in weight category to 66 kg.  In three preliminary fights he won convincing victories.  In a semi-final the skilled fighter from the Republic of Buryatia Bair Burtsev became his rival.  Despite desperate resistance, the resident of Sakhalin lost with the minimum score 6:7.  By the way, Burtsev won further a gold award.  And Hamidov in fight for the third place achieved a victory behind a clear advantage over the fighter from Yakutia.  The bronze medal of the All-Russian tournament became an award to the island athlete. 

Besides, according to the unanimous solution of a judiciary board it was awarded the special prize "For the Will to Win"!
