The Russian Cup was reduced to seven teams

Transfer of terms of carrying out the Russian Cup led to reduction of teams-participants

This time the honourable trophy will be played in Nalchik in the next few two days whereas before this command and personal tournament was held in the end of the year. Transfer of terms of the Cup of the country is connected with 70-year anniversary of one of founders of wrestling in Kabardino-Balkaria Mahomed Hanikov whom will celebrate these days. Terms were unsuccessful because of what to Nalchik there didn't arrive acting owners of an honourable trophy — wrestlers of Krasnoyarsk Krai and the last year's finalist — the national team of the Moscow region. Didn't expose the team and one of the strongest wrestling subjects of Russia — North Ossetia. However, athletes of this republic nevertheless will act in Nalchik, but in structures of other teams — the Russian student's union and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area.

On lot it was decided to part on groups of two favourites. Those recognized the third prize-winner of a last year's Russian Cup — a team from Dagestan and owners — team of Kabardino-Balkaria.

Tomorrow, on February 25, will pass match meetings in groups, and next day — the big and small finals and decisive fights of individual competition.
