In Kirovsky district passed the VI open tournament on free-style wrestling among the young men, devoted to memory of the Honoured Master of Sports Vladimir Batnya.

The tournament devoted to memory of the known Krasnoyarsk fighter Vladimira Batnya, annually takes place in December in the territory of Kirovsky district.

This year more than 130 athletes of the city of Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Divnogorsk, Lesosibirsk, Kansk, and regions of Krasnoyarsk Krai took part in competitions: Emelyanovsky, Kezhemsky, Balakhtinsky, Sharypovsky, Berezovsky, Guerrilla, Nazarovsky, etc.

Competitions were held in personal team championship by rules of federation of free-style wrestling among young men 1998-1999.

Weight categories: to 39, 42, 46, 50, 54, 58, 63, 69, 76, 85, St. 85 kg.

Opened tournament the head of administration of Kirovsky district Saar Vladimir Rudolfovich:

"For Kirovsky district a great honor to accept in the territory the tournament devoted to the remarkable person, the Honoured Master of Sports of the USSR, to the champion of the USSR, the resident of Kirov Vladimir Petrovich Batnya. Mass sports need development and support. Without development of children's sports about large sporting achievements out of the question", - Vladimir Rudolfovich noted.

In weight category  46 kg. : 1 place – Milkonyan Arayik; The 2nd place – Korovin Kirill; The 3rd place – Basargin Vitaly and Kamilzhanov Rakhmatillo;

In weight category  50 kg. : 1 place – Rayev Sergey; The 2nd place – Ibragimov Muslim; The 3rd place – Tyu-Pey-Xing Petr and the Toucan Nikolay;

In weight category  54 kg. : 1 place – Vasilyev Yury; The 2nd place – Kadachnikov Denis; The 3rd place – Fedyakin Nikita and Mamishev Islam;

In weight category  58 kg.:1 place – Gyulmamedov Tural; The 2nd place – Matyushenko Valery; The 3rd place – Sneijder Alexander and Manasyan Robert;

In weight category  63 kg. : 1 place – Stepanov Maxim; The 2nd place – Kudzhiashvili Konstantin; The 3rd place – Vershinsky Yury and Baryshkov Denis;

In weight category more than 85 kg. : 1 place – Glazkov Igor; The 2nd place – Dotsenko Vyacheslav; The 3rd place – Dyukov Mark and Solovyov Sergey.

All winners and prize-winners in individual competition in each weight category are awarded by commemorative medals, prizes and diplomas.

Winners and prize-winners in a team competition are awarded by cups and diplomas: 1 place – team of Kirovsky district; The 2nd place – Sovetsky district; The 3rd place – the Central district.
