In the Abazin auls Inzhich-Chukun and Elburgan was always popular sports. However, inhabitants of these auls had no special conditions for occupations. And if to drive a ball, the children could run and jump and on waste grounds, for occupations by free-style wrestling children had to get over on Small Zelenchuk's other coast, in Habez.

Exactly there, at the Karachay-Cherkessia's first master of sports of the USSR on Yury Argunov's free-style wrestling, also there passed wrestling school Mikhail (or Valentin as it called in native Inzhich-Chukun) Chukov.

Later, being the student of Karachay-Cherkess teacher training college, it perfected the skill at trainer Sh. Barkhozov. Well and he achieved the main successes in army. In a sports company of armies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs where Valentin served, the guy mastered also receptions of sambo and executed standards of the master of sports of the USSR for two types of wrestling.

Having come back home, Mikhail Chukov opened wrestling section in Elburgan. Boys crowds went on trainings. Soon best of them began to win at the regional and regional competitions, many executed the standard of the candidate for the master of sports.

But in 1984 the section should be closed because of financial problems. Mikhail Zaudinovich was compelled to look for to himself application in other sphere, but his soul was restless – it pulled it to that he loved. Once it carried the son and the nephew on the All-Russian tournament on free-style wrestling which took place in Cherkessk. Eminent athletes gathered in Spartak Sports palace from different corners of the country. Their athletic constitution and uncompromising fights on a carpet made indelible impression on the young audience. It seemed to them that they alive observe fights of gladiators which they saw in movies.

Next day boys, having come from school, at all without having changed clothes, started fighting directly on a floor. Remembered and repeated that saw the day before. They were so keen on imitation wrestlers that didn't notice how their father and the uncle with a great interest watches minutes five them. Having found out that they not one, children started coming true: "We didn't fight, and fought". Valentin looked at them with a smile and asked: "You want to become the real wrestlers? " Without reflecting, boys exclaimed: "Yes, certainly! " The pleasure seized Valentin: in children exorcized genes, they will go on its feet!

Valentin decided to make everything from him depending to embody their dream in reality. He started being engaged with them on the street, on a grass. Then his former colleagues from Adyge Hablya presented to it six mats. It spread them at home – in a hall on the second floor – and started carrying out trainings there. Having learned that Valentin opened at home the mini-sports hall, his former pupils took to him the children. Knowing professionalism of the trainer, parents with pleasure gave boys to it in a charge, believing that it can grow up from them great masters. But to make it in house conditions it was unreal.

And Mikhail Chukov decides to create serious wrestling school. Huge works it should have beaten out the room, to find the sponsor who would repair it, to get support in administration of the Habezsky area that its child had the children's and youth sports school status. It could overcome everything, and in 1999 the sports hall was open. Valentin's great friend, the world champion, the triple champion of Europe, the head coach of USSR national team was invited to the opening ceremony from 1972 to 1981, "professor of wrestling" Yury Avanesovich Shakhmuradov recognized as one of the best wrestlers and trainers of the world for all history of existence of free-style wrestling.

The pleasure of inhabitants Inzhich-Chukun and Elburgan wasn't a limit. The next day after opening children literally rushed to the sports hall. Wishing to be engaged in wrestlingwas very much that it was necessary to divide them into three streams. In each group there were 40 people. Having collected and having built all for the first conversation, Valentin stiffened for some time. He long looked at children and was silent, the lump got stuck in a throat, tears welled up on eyes. He remembered that time when trained fathers of these children as everything well began as they rejoiced to the victories at competitions. Long time didn't suffice all this to it. And here it again has an opportunity to plunge into the world of experiences, pleasures, progress, the world of full life, the wrestling world. There is an opportunity to manage big affairs!

Results didn't keep themselves waiting. Pupils of school become champions of the republic, the Southern federal district, Russia. According to Valentin's petition to school at which opened still soccer and boxing offices, appropriated Yury Shakhmuradov's name. In two years after Children's and Youth Sports School (CYSS) opening "Youth" of Yu.A.Shakhmuradova was called the best in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic and in the subsequent was in leaders, steadily taking the highest places.

At the initiative of M. Chukov 8 international tournaments on free-style wrestling in honor of Yu.A.Shakhmuradov on a prize of the Head of the Habezsky area were held. Two of them – in Inzhich-Chukune, six – in Cherkessk. And this year, from December 6 to December 8, in Cherkessk, in Spartak Sports palace, will pass the first All-Russian tournament on free-style wrestling among young men of 2000-2001 year of birth of memory of the Honored trainer of Russia M.Z.Chukova.

At rural sport school Mikhail Chukov brought up 1 master of sports of the international class, 6 masters of sports of Russia, more than 20 candidates for the master of sports and about 100 athletes of the mass category.

The sudden death pulled out Valentin from our ranks in the prime of life and during creative lifting. Having arrived from abroad on November 16, 2007 on a funeral of the friend, Yury Shakhmuradov made a speech at memorial service and suggested to rename DYuSSh "Youth" – to call it a name M.Z.Chukova. The sport school bears today a name of the founder, and there is a wish to hope that her pupils will be worthy the Teacher.
