In Kharkov the V International tournament on free-style wrestling among young men devoted to memory of the liberator of the city of Kharkov of Hero of the Soviet Union Enver Akhsarova on October 26-27 took place.

Enver Akhsarov was born 9 on November (24), 1915 in the village Zilga of the Right-bank region of North Ossetia in a family of the peasant. Ossetian. Studied on workers' faculty at the Krasnodar construction institute. In 1934 it is called in ranks of Red Army. In 1937 I ended the Tbilisi military college. In Great Patriotic War fights since August, 1941. The commander of the 227th shooting regiment major E.B.Akhsarov caused a stir during the Kharkov offensive operation.

Its regiment, overcoming the persistent resistance of the opponent,  seized a number of strong points and provided division advance to Kharkov. Skillfully operating a regiment, I showed personal bravery and courage. On February 15, 1943 the enemy with superior forces tried to attack three times of a position of a regiment of major Akhsarov, but all attacks were beaten off. In the third and most desperate fight major Akhsarov personally in an emphasis killed two Hitlerites and in the face of the brother-soldiers was lost death of the hero from a rupture of an enemy mine. It is buried in Kharkov.

The decree of Presidium of the Supreme Council of the USSR of January 10, 1944 for the skillful management of actions of a regiment and destruction of manpower and equipment of the opponent to major Enver Bimbolatovich Akhsarov posthumously appropriated a rank of the Hero of the Soviet Union.

It is awarded the order Lenin, an award of the Red Star, medals.

Streets in Kharkov and Vladikavkaz are called a name of the Hero. In Kharkov the gravestone monument on Geroyev Avenue (cemetery No. 2) is established to it. The bust is established to the Hero in the native village.
