In the past weekend in Dubossarakh passed the international tournament of wrestlers in which about 70 athletes of cadet age from Tiraspol, Slobodzei, Rybnitsa, Dubossar, Dnestrovsk, and also Kishinev and the Gagauzsky autonomy took part.

Competitions were devoted to the fifth anniversary from the date of formation of Dubossarsky child junior sports school of wrestling and boxing. The world champion in free-style wrestling among adults Peter Yanulov, the pupil of dubossarsky trainer Victor Rosikhin became the guest of tournament.

Competitions took place in nine weight categories. As the chief judge of competitions Valery Brizhaty reported, from the nine first places four were won by gagauzsky athletes Vyacheslav Kuznetsov, Peter Karaseni, George Karostoyan and Andrey Telpiz. These athletes, note in Dubossarakh, will make a basis of an Olympic team of the Republic of Moldova.

As the director of dubossarsky sports school Fedor Polyakov, in this educational institution, besides wrestling and boxing office told, gymnastics and acrobatics offices, and also judo and sambo are open lately.

"In five years through our school passed more than 700 children, over 200 athletes of mass categories are trained. Unfortunately, we yet didn't grow up first-rank sportsmen. Children seldom meet pupils of related schools from other cities. Since March of this year our athletes never left for city boundaries due to the lack of financing", – he told.

According to him, the new sports directions which have revived in the city, became demanded. "A few years ago sceptics claimed that in Dubossarakh boxing and wrestling won't get accustomed. Present experience testifies to the return. Only this year we prepare on all offices of 150 children, and they willingly visit occupations", – emphasized Poles.
