On October 5 in the French city of Besançon passed the open Besançon tournament on free-style, Greco -Roman and female wrestling.

196 athletes took part in it from nearly 40 sports clubs of France and Italy. The Besançon tournament is held according to FILA regulations (The international federation of wrestling) and under the auspices of FFL (The French federation of wrestling). The structure of participants and the competition on this tournament happen high.

To our several compatriots from the French clubs participating in competitions of wrestlers of freestyle, it wasn't succeeded to take any gold. In weight category  55 kg the silver medal was won by Timur Gugayev from the French Alpine city  Klyuz. In the ending he lost to the local wrestler from Besançon of the Georgian origin of Givi Davidovi. Our other athletes won bronze medals. In category  60 kg it was made by Ilman Mukhtarov of Besançon. In the summer of this year Ilman took part in superiority of Europe among young men, and this time decided to try forces among adult athletes. In the weight of 66 kg at once two rose by the third step of a podium — Rasoul Altamirov from Besançon and Said Gaytayev from Sottevil-le Ruan. Let's add that on the fifth place there was Hamzat Sangarayev from Banyole. At last, in weight category  74 kg bronze was received by Ali Maltsagov from Sottevil-le-Rouen. It passed forward Archil Gigauri from Lyon and the champion of France Antoine Massid.
