In July the University games in Kazan became the main event in a wrestling competitive calendar. Five Dagestan wrestlers represented Russia on these representative student's competitions. They acted excellent, having won four gold and one silver medal. Along with Bekhan Goygereev by the highest step of a pedestal rose Nariman Israpilov, Mahomed Kurbanaliyev and Abdusalam Gadisov.
