Under the sign of an overwhelming superiority of Russians passed tournament in the Ancient Greek city of Olympia.

Tournament took place on three styles of wrestling. Russia was represented by wrestlers and girls. Except for categories to 55 and 96 kg in which on Saturday took priority Omak Syuryun and Anzor Boltukayev, in all other scales of competition were stretched for two days. On Sunday the endings took place only. They were postponed from a hall for antique stadium where passed the first Olympic Games. The endings were preceded by the ceremony which purpose was to draw attention of world sports community to threat of an exception of wrestling from the Olympic program. During ceremony young athletes of Greece reported the message to the president of FILA Nenad Lalovich who contains an appeal to keep the Olympic wrestling as an integral part of the Olympic movement which has arisen on their homeland.

Then decisive duels in which the Russian wrestlers and their compatriots acted more than surely began. Along with Omak Syuryun and Anzor Boltukayev in Olympia Soslan Ramonov (66 kg), Gadzhi Gadzhiev (74 kg) received gold medals of tournament, Ktsoyev (84 kg), Alexander Kusrayev (120 kg), Maria Gurova (55 kg), Anastasia Bratchikova (63 kg), Tarima Hanzheeva (67 kg) and Natalia Vorobyova (72 kg) Is banished. The second places were taken by Anna Maksimova (59 kg) and Xenia Burakova (72 kg), bronze prize-winners of steel of Valery Lozinskaya (63 kg) and Opan Sat (66 kg).
