The other day the father of the titled taybokser of Dmitry Ushkanov Dmitry Spiridonovich became the champion of Russia on free-style wrestling among veterans, athletes is more senior than 35 years.

Competition took place in the capital of Kalmykia to Elista. In total in different age groups and weight categories slightly more than hundred people acted.

Ushkanov fought in group "62–65 years" in the weight 85 kilograms, our republic it presented one. Five more athletes took part in its weight category. In the first fight it met Yaroshenko from Belgorod, two periods for three minutes fought, and the resident of Yakutsk won with the score 5:2. In the ending it was resisted by local athlete Yury Atisheev, our fellow countryman surely won against it, in the second period having defeated. The first place in national championship automatically granted the right to participate at the beginning of October in the World Cup to Sarajevo.

The triumph Ushkanova Sr. isn't casual. He seriously trained in School of the Olympic reserve and in No. 3 DYuSSh, sometimes went there on twice a day. Not for nothing following the results of the championship to it awarded a special prize for the best equipment. Now to two titles of the champion of the republic among veterans he added a similar rank of the Russian level.

Fight by new rules was pleasant to all participants of tournament. "Everything depends on the fighter, even having earned points, rivals don't go to deaf defense",   — Dmitry Spiridonovich shared impressions.

He was surprised and pleased when in Elista met the native of the Megino-Kangalassky ulus Innokenti Kuzmin. It appeared, the resident of Yakutsk married the local girl and settled in the capital of Kalmykia, is highly esteemed local population. Interesting fact: in due time at Innokenti Innokentyevich the former President of Kalmykia Kirsan Ilyumzhinov was engaged in free-style wrestling.

Telling about the son, Dmitry Spiridonovich told: "Dima plans to organize in Yakutsk nine fights on Thai boxing and fights without rules. Itself won't fight, competitions will take place in August at Tuymaada stadium. You come, you won't regret".
