Kumukh of the Lak area passed interdistrict tournament in the settlement on the free-style wrestling, devoted to memory of the master of sports on Ibrahim Ibragimov free-style and Greco-Roman wrestling.

Tournament took place thanks to support of the acting head of administration of the Lak region of Abakar Kunnuyev which constantly great attention gives to questions of development of child youthful sports in the area.

For a sports holiday there arrived close relatives of the veteran of sports, guests from the different cities and areas. Among them the representative of the device of the President of RD Rasoul Butayev, the head of department of justice of the Russian Federation on RD Abdurakhman Abdurakhmanov, the senior teacher of chair of physical culture of the Dagestan agrarian university boxer Aslan Kazhlayev, the deserved builder of RD Saypullakh Ramazanov, businessmen Aslan and Gasan Aliyev, Bunyamin Magomedov, Ibrahim Ibragimov's pupils and his fellows villager.

Tournament took place in club. Abakar Kunnuyev made a speech at solemn opening of the acting head of administration. On behalf of administration it greeted dear guests, thanked heads and representatives of teams who took part in tournament.

In the performance he told about life and Ibrahim Ibragimov's achievements. I noted that the phenomenon of his personality, bright sporting achievements, unshakable internal will were a worthy example for youth of the Lak area in 1970-1980 where it worked as the physical education teacher.

"Without having elementary conditions, Ibrahim Gadzhiyevich achieved good indicators. Our fighters started participating in zone and republican competitions", - A.Kunnuyev told.

Young wrestlers took part in a festival of friendship and sports from Lak, Kulinsky, New Lak, Levashinsky, Gergebilsky, Charodinsky, Kizilyurtovsky (TUO) of areas and team of the settlement of Karash, from where a sort Ibrahim Ibragimov. In competitions 150 wrestlers took part in 16 weight categories from 20 to 76 kg.

The judge of national category, the master of sports of the international class, the honored worker of physical culture of RD Batal Gadzhiev was the chief judge of tournament.

By results of tournament the first place was taken by team of the Lak area (trainer Gadzhimurad Makhmudov); the second place - team of the Charodinsky area (trainers Mahomed Magomedov and Mahomed Dalgatov); the third place – team of the Kulinsky area (trainers Carine Kamalov and Omari Magomedov).
Winners and prize-winners awarded with medals, diplomas and monetary prizes from administration of the area and from Ibrahim Ibragimov's fellow countrymen. Monetary prizes also encouraged judges of tournament, and to trainers handed over memorable souvenirs.
