Yesterday took place the press conference devoted to successful performance of the wrestling national team in the championship of Europe

On March 19-22 in the capital of Georgia passed the free-style wrestling European championship. The female national team of Ukraine confirmed the status of the strongest team of the continent, the third time in a row having taken the first all-command place. Our girls won five bronze and one gold medal. Julia Blaginya (51 kg), Irina Gusyak (55 kg), Tatyana Lavrenchuk (59 kg), Anna Vasilenko (63 kg) and Ekaterina Burmistrova (72 kg) won bronze medals. Young Alina Stadnik titled the wrestler became the champion of Europe in 2013.

Successfully the man's national team of Ukraine acted also, having taken the third all-command place. In Tbilisi championship gold in category of 96 kg was won by Pavel Oleynik. Alain Zaseev became the silver prize-winner in the weight of 120 kg. Giya Chikhladze (74 kg) and Ibrahim Aldatov (84 kg) won bronze awards.

It should be noted that our empty-handed wrestlers from the European championship didn't come back never. On the contrary, the Ukrainian wrestlers always among the first. This time, except instructors of national teams of Ruslan Savlokhov and Vladimir Evonov the minister of youth and sports affairs joined celebration of winners Ravil Safiullin also.

Ravil Safovich handed over to the champion of Europe Alina Stadnik and the champion of Europe Pavel Oleynik flowers and wished successes on the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro:   "At us really joyful event.   Results of speech of our athletes in the European championship deserve the appreciation.   We expect to see the same result on the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.  " 

 "I would like to thank our minister Ravil Safovich Safiullin for support his letter in the International Olympic committee. In which it expressed unconditional support to the wrestling world and emphasized that the Olympic Games conduct the history from Ancient Greece where cultivated wrestling."

The winner in category of 96 kg Pavel Oleynik also shared with journalists the emotions concerning a victory: "Right after a victory there was such euphoria, even it is difficult to describe. I was happiest with result to which so long I went. We passed good collecting and therefore I was in good shape."

The head coach of the man's national team Ruslan Savlokhov is also happy with performance of the wards: "Since then, as Ukraine found independence we had no such moment that we from the European championship didn't arrive with medals. Now we became the third in an all-team competition and after the Olympic Games is good результатТакже it would be desirable to mark out Giya Chikhladze which proved in category of 74 kg, long ago at us wasn't in this weight of medals. I wish it the same wrestling further."

Ahead of them wearisome work on trainings and some serious summer tournaments waits. And in September of our wrestlers the World Cup in Budapest waits. Let's wish them good luck at so responsible competitions.
