At European championship opening ceremony in Tbilisi Nenad Lalovich handed over the award FILA "Gold branch" to Bedzina Ivanishvili.

Heads of regions and the states for a contribution to wrestling development receive this award of FILA. Bedzina Ivanishvili's contribution is that it supported idea of carrying out the championship of the continent in the capital of Georgia and helped to realize it. Besides, one of the richest people of Georgia and the actual head of the state intends to support the program of development of wrestling to the countries. He reported about it during a meeting with Nenad Lalovich and the president of the European federation of wrestling (CELA) Tseno Tsenovym which took place on the eve of the European championship. In particular, Ivanishvili declared that in the next years in Georgia 20 sport centers for occupations by wrestling and as much sport centers for occupations by a national type of wrestling – чидаоба will be constructed.

As the president of Federation of wrestling of Georgia Luka Kurtanidze who "The Georgian dream" is the activist of party Ivanishvili, the prime minister told a lot of things does on improvement of conditions for preparation of athletes and improvement of their financial position. Aren't forgotten and veterans of sports to Ivanishvili's, so, Olympic champions  established monthly pension in a size of one and a half thousand dollars. To Kurtanidze also  told that in plans of the new authorities – a stroiteltstvo of modern Sports palace which becomes the main covered arena of Georgia instead of the Sports palace erected more than 50 years ago of G. Kartozy where these days passes the wrestling European championship.
