The national team of Georgia on judo finished the first day of the Grand Prix of Samsun without medals.
Today medal events were held in weight categories to 60 and 66 kg among men, and to 48, 52 and 57 among women. Georgia was presented only by men – the bronze prize-winner of Gran-pri of Tbilisi Lukhum Chkhvimiani, Lasha Giunashvili (both 60 kg), to Tornike Tatarashvili and Mindia Liluashvili (66 kg).
Best of all Tatarashvili acted. It began tournament with an old circle which won against Azerbaijanian Tarlan Karimov - forced it to receive in two minutes 4 shido. Ahead of schedule he won and at Belarusian Dimitrii Shershan – threw it on vazari on the third minute of fight twice.
In a quarterfinal he won against the Frenchman David Larosa on shidо, however in 50 seconds prior to end of a duel fell on shovels and passed in repeshazh. In a bronze semi-final against Colin Outs Tatarashvili's brinatets got on deduction and as a result I was content with the 7th place.
In Liluashvili's same weight I carried out two fights. He in the first attack threw German Sebastian Sejdl on vazari and kept advantage up to the end. And here in 1/8 finals against Frenchman Louis Korval, winning on vazari, he at the end of the third minute fell on shovels.
In the easiest weight Georgians began performance with the second circle and left competitions in 1/8 finals.
Chkhvimiani won against Swiss Michael Iten according to preventions 3:2. It actively began also fight against Azerbaijanian Ilgar Mushkiyev, having forced the judge, to give to the rival two preventions, however at the end of the second minute fell on вазари and then couldn't break a duel course.
Giunashvili lost chances of medals in fight with the representative of Russia Robert Mshvidobadze. Having lagged behind at the beginning of a duel with an assessment vazari, it could do nothing with the rival, though worked actively. Before fight from Mshvidobadze Giunashvili the ippony overcame Latvian Andreas Madzhers.
Tomorrow 4 sets of medals – in weight categories to 73 and 81 kg among men, and to 63 and 70 kg among women will be played. Under the flag of Georgia to a tatami come Zebeda Rekhviashvili, Lasha Shavdatuashvili (both 73 kg), Ushangi Margiani (81 kg) and Shorena Sharadze (63 kg).
