The meeting took place within the Culture in Sports project.

In its track record – victories in the World Cup, the European championships and Russia among visually impaired persons. Shakhban told children (besides "Assistants to Presidents" at a meeting there were school students) about the sports career, achievements, about how began.

Shakhban Kurbanov was born on March 22, 1984 in the settlement Tsumilyukh of the Tlyaratinsky region of Dagestan. Since 2002 judo in Children's and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve under the leadership of the honored judo and sambo coach of Russia Gazimagomed Akhmedov is engaged. Since 2005 is the member of a national team of Russia. Repeatedly  became the champion of Russia (2005-2012), the owner of the Russian Cup (2005-2011), the champion of Europe (Baku – 2007 and Hungary – 2009), the world champion (France – 2006) and the bronze prize-winner of the summer XIV Paralympic Games (London – 2012). In 2010 the rank of the Honoured Master of Sports of Russia on judo (sports blind) is appropriated to Shakhban.

Shakhban gave to present school students manuals, having wished to love the homeland and to be patriots. And still to have in life of the purpose and to achieve them. Shakhban Kurbanov wished to "Assistants to the President" good luck and thanked them for the vigorous activity directed on the help to Dagestanis and positive changes in life of the republic. From now on Shakhban Kurbanov also is the activist of the movement "YaPP", and within the Culture in Sports project the athlete will take direct part.
