2 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze are a catch of the national team of Georgia for the second day of the Grand Prix of Tbilisi. There are no words – brilliant result. Especially as today among men champions and prize-winners were revealed only in two weight categories.
From four judoists who have acted in 73 kg three ascended to a podium. Without medal there was only a member youth assembly Pridon Gigani who finished performance on tournament in 1/8 finals.
Repetition of the final of the London Olympic Games became the main event of this weight category and all day. The Olympic champion Lasha Shavdatuashvili again won against the eminent Hungarian Miklosh Ungvari. However, we will remind that if in London judoists acted in weight category to 66 kg, this time they met already in competitions on one weight category above.
Shavdatuashvili from first second seized advantage and though I didn't carry out reception, but forced the judge to give to the rival three preventions.
In a quarterfinal the defending champion of Europe carried out against Ukrainian Sergey Drebot absolutely other than the first in the tactical plan wrestling – took vazari and then quietly brought the matter to a victory. And in a semi-final against the representative of the United Arab Emirates Victor Skvortsov it had to work fairly and if not the prevention shown by the judge to his rival 1 second prior to a final series, it should turn into consolatory tournament. And so wrestling proceeded in an overtime and Shavdatuashvili managed to pull out a victory thanks to yuko only on the 6th additional minute.
On the second party of a grid members of the national team of Georgia were distributed so that ways of two skilled judoists, prize-winners of ChE Nugzar Tatalashvili and Zebeda Rekhviashvili were crossed in a quarterfinal. Before both judoists passed on one rival. Tatalashvili won against Turkmen Kasym Populov ippony, and Rekhviashvili also ippony finished with Ukrainian Dmitry Kanivts.
The Georgian opposition came to the end with the executed Tatalashvili on the 5th minute the ippony. And after all up to this point Rekhviashvili looked more active and the judge showed Tatalashvili's prevention twice.
This the last passed the bronze prize-winner of a WC Musa Mogushkov in a semi-final thanks to шидо which the judge punished the Russian for half-minute to a final siren.
In Tatalashvili's final won against the best friend quite colourless wrestling for the account vazari.
And Rekhviashvili who has lost to it in consolatory tournament won two victories иппонами – at first over Azerbaijanian Rustam Oruzhov, then over Victor Skvortsov – and won a bronze medal.
As for Pridon Gigani, he came to a tatami only twice. Gigani opened competition from a flawless victory over Italian Marko Madaloni, but then could do nothing against Oruzhov.
In 81 kg at the first number the leader of a world rating Avtandil Chrikishvili was certainly seeded. The defending champion of Europe excellent made a speech at tournament and won without any problems. However in a quarterfinal it had to overcome the serious resistance of the member of the youth national team of Georgia Ushangi Margiani. We will remind that Chrikishvili and Margiani met at the end of last year in the final of superiority of Georgia and the leader of weight category won then in the same equal wrestling.
Before wrestling with the compatriot, Chrikishvili in two and a half minutes I was quit with Armenian Rafael Davtyan. In a semi-final it forced Iranian Amir Gasemi Nedzhadi who constantly avoided wrestling, to receive 4 preventions in 4 minutes. And in the final it took the next revenge from American Travis Stephens for unexpected defeat at the Olympic Games in London, in one and a half minutes having defeated him a beautiful throw.
Margiani began tournament with a flawless victory over Greco Roman Mustopulosis. And in a consolatory stage he won against the Azerbaijani judoists – Turala Safguliyeva and Mamadali Mekhdiyev – and topped the debut Grand Prix with a bronze medal.
Champions – Tatalashvili and Chrikishvili – together with gold medals earned on 300 rating points. Shavdatuashvili added to the stock of 180 points. And Rekhviashvili and Margiani received on 120 points.
Today to a tatami under the flag of Georgia also there was Pridon Gigani (73 kg), Georgy Papunashvili, Lasha Zurabiani (both 81 kg), Nino Martiashvili, Shorena Sharadze (both 63 kg) and Tea Sukhitashvili (70 kg), however all of them remained out of the prize-winning three.
In Sharadze's chetverfinal lost to American Hanna Martin, and – the Croatian Andriy Drakowitsch.
Papunashvili, Zurabiani, Martiashvili and Sukhitashvili acted only one time. Papunashvili left tournament after loss to the Kazakhstan citizen Farkhadu Ruzukulov, Zurabiani conceded to Italian Antonio Chiano, Martiashvili – the Azerbaijanian Hanym Huseynovoy, and Sukhitashvili – to Israeli Yarden Mayerson.
