Judo is not only self-defense and wrestling art. This means of self-improvement, discipline, deep intellectual and physical development, spiritual clarification. In the children's and youth sports school (CYSS) of the settlement of Kotsyubinskoye such truth cherishes five years in a row, exactly since by efforts of self-sacrificing enthusiasts here was opened separate section on judo.

By judo (with Japanese "a way of soft or unarmed wrestling") - martial art, later - and the sport, which bases were developed by the teacher Dzigoro Kano from Japan in 1882 on October 28 (in day of its birth) the World day of judo is celebrated. Wrestling is based on an arsenal of wrestling equipment which developed for 120 years. With 1964 the given sport included in the Olympic Games. Special popularity of judo it isn't enough in the USSR where often developed in a sheaf on sambo. Also in the form of fighting discipline enters the program of preparation of law-enforcement divisions and intelligence services of many countries of the world. In this wrestling are engaged in special clothes - in a kimono, on the corresponding covering of a floor - a tatami.

When everything only began...

The local, the champion of Ukraine and the master of sports, the trainer and the teacher Pavel Shevchenko became "father" of development of judo in Kotsyubinskom. On creation of efficient collective which now everywhere know, respect and will read, five years left. It was the long road to some decades, is full a set of obstacles...

All began in far 1979 when Pavel's father, working as the builder at "Dynamo" sport center in Kiev, brought for work of the 13-year-old son. Here just the new section of judo opened. The boy saw one training behind big glass of the sports hall, and two hours with enthusiasm watched an unusual show.

So flashed violent love to judo which made of it the strong personality and the athlete later, and at the same time influenced development of life of all Kotsyubinsky. Further regular training in judo section at Progress plant that in Irpena, under the leadership of the skilled trainer Victor Tkachenko, a victory in the championship of Ukraine 1984, army, study at physical culture Institute, trainer's career in Kiev...

Courses of life again returned Pavel Shevchenko to the native settlement the qualified specialist in the Olympic sports. "Having arrived here, me surprised that in considerable the settlement there are only two sports: soccer and free-wrestling. And revolted seen in the local wood where I found more needles from syringes, than from pine trees even more! That's when I solved thanks to sports and to the profession to try to change a situation in the settlement, and very much I wanted to create section on judo. Believe if I very strongly want something, it by all means comes true", - the trainer tells.

Having made such decision, he at all didn't suspect on which "headache" I subjected myself. The set of meetings with officials and local businessmen within two years, insincere smiles and an idle talk, a heap of spent own time - so looked attempts of one person to change the world around.

At the eighteenth school

After studying of a situation agreed to create a gym on a place old wardrobe at the 18th comprehensive school. The trainer and with support of V. Kuzmich and parents of children made own hands here repair, completed a wall, equipped a qualitative hall and training the room where it is possible not only to be engaged, but also to look through video of own performances and together to analyze mistakes.

To Pavel Vladimirovich not to get used to work as hands as he a long time works at local furniture factory as the worker, and puts on a white kimono in the evening and teaches children to bases of east wrestling. The section device at school allowed to carry it the founder to a position of the trainer-teacher. So in September, 2008 the new sport officially was born in Kotsyubinskom.

Children gave section the name "Leader", and the trainer on one of the international competitions incidentally came across unique souvenirs that became a happy symbol for коцюбинчан is a couple of smiling squirrels fighters. Nice achievements

Now in DYuSSh 60 people, from them 6 - girls are engaged. These pupils repeatedly became winners and prize-winners of valid competitions as in Ukraine, and abroad. In particular, recently Vladislav Kazimirov became the champion of Germany on the international tournament, Ivan Yushchenko received there the 3rd place, Akubir Fazilova won at other competitions Europe.

According to mother of the judoist of Ekaterina Yushchenko-Korbut, such success in many respects depends on the trainer: "For them it as the father, and even is more! His authority works where relatives are powerless. When I am reported from school about deterioration of behavior of Vanya, and the house by us can't find a common language any more, then I call the trainer. Only a mention of it it is capable to calm in five seconds the son and to force to obey. The main thing that this person managed to create conditions when children don't drink beer in Kotsyubinskom and don't smell glue as it was until recently. Now they have opportunity to self-improve through sports. And we, parents, are grateful to it for it"

Twice a year the settlement holds All-Ukrainian tournaments on 200-300 people who already became traditional: devoted to the Defender of the Fatherland Day and the Victory Day. Whenever possible, here will organize also other competitions, send the best pupils for performances within the country and abroad. Though it is worth recognizing, without "a strong shoulder" not indifferent philanthropists of the mentioned achievements could and not to be.

There will be in Kotsyubinskom own world champions? Pavel Shevchenko answers this question with a smile, but is unambiguous: "It is unconditional and! The only problem is for today a shortage of a big hall for trainings where could prepare normally not only children, but also adults. Therefore they should or "give up" sports, or to look for to themselves base places. There will be the corresponding hall - good results won't slow down"
