Traditional tournament on the judo, devoted to the Day of Defender of the Fatherland, collected record number of participants – 10 teams and 210 participants from Chelyabinsk, Magnitogorsk, Orenburg, Kuvandyk,Yasnyy, Energetik, Novotroitsk and Orsk.

Our city was represented by 3 teams. It is DYuSSh "Nadezhda", section of judo of the palace of pioneers and owners of a tatami – SDYuSShOR "Youth". Because of weather conditions there couldn't arrive 2 more teams from the Republic of Kazakhstan. All gathered were welcomed by the mayor W.A. Franz. He congratulated all present on a holiday and wished success on a tatami. As a result from 10 weight categories Orsk judoists won 4 gold medals. 6 more residents of Orsk became prize-winners of competitions.
