Dmitry Maksimov who was the silver and bronze prize-winner on judo of Deflimpiysky games of 2013 in Sofia, was lost on the Maidan on January 18 during collisions of protesters and security officers. About it reports the official site of National committee of sports of disabled people.

The athlete was only 19 years old. It came to the Maidan Nezalezhnosti together with the friend to defend Ukraine. Body of the guy identified native on February 22.

When firing began, from grenade explosion to Dmitry Maksimov tore off a hand. Someone took away the guy to the Trade Unions Building where he bled to death. His body lay some days in the Mikhaylovsky cathedral.

In National committee of sports of disabled people noted that Dmitry Maksimov debuted at the Deflimpiysky games in Sofia in 2013 and at once won two high awards – bronze in personal offset and silver in command.

The lost athlete will bury on Sunday, February 23.
