In the building of DYuSSh passed Open tournament in Zheleznovodsk on the judo, devoted to the Defender of the Fatherland Day and the 25 anniversary from the date of a withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan.
Teams took part in it except железноводчан from Pyatigorsk, Yessentuki, Nevinnomyssk, judoists from Stavropol and the Foothill area, and also athletes from the neighboring republics - Karachay-Cherkessias, Kabardino-Balkaria, North Ossetia - Alania. Age of participants – from 11 to 13 years. Generally it is athletes behind which shoulders already there is a solid experience of participation in sports meets, including the Russian level. Tournament took place on 9 weight categories. Judo is popular today not only with boys, but also with girls. Total of participants – more than two hundred.
In a team competition leadership appeared for young judoists from Karachay-Cherkessia, on the second place – team from Pyatigorsk, and residents of Kislovodsk occupied the third step of a podium. Unfortunately, owners of competitions - Zheleznovodsk judoists couldn't get to the three of prize-winners.
And here in individual competition pupils of the trainer of MBU "Zheleznovodsk" David Abramyan were among winners: Roman Reznikov became the second, the second place and at Maria Zgurskaya; Victor Ayrapetyan and Yakov Manasyan occupied the bottom step of the podium, everyone in the weight category.
