On a tatami more than 250 children and young men from 6 to 16 years fought. All participants were awarded by certificates of honor and special prizes. As organizers of competitions the Northwest interregional Fund of support of development of judo, VPA MPA Representation in the Northwest federal district the Russian Federation and Administration of Moskovsky district acted. The sports public has long traditions in successful carrying out the actions directed on patriotic education of younger generation. In many respects, thanks to personal efforts of the well-known athletes and single combats coachs, in St. Petersburg there were traditional the sporting events connected with memorials of military glory of Russia. Traditional personal and team tournament on judo "The young defender" became a striking example.

It should be noted that tournament became traditional and the third year in a row is spent.
