In Chelyabinsk passed the seventh All-Russian tournament on judo of memory of the world champion, the bronze prize-winner of the Olympic Games Grigory Verichev. Over 150 athletes took part in competitions.

"Grigory Verichev's name is entered by large letters not only in history Russian, but also world judo. And the best memory of the person, of the judoist - bright victories on a tatami", - were celebrated by the vice-president of federation of judo of Chelyabinsk region Denis Lapotyshkin.

Residents of Chelyabinsk Elnur Badirkhanov (60 kg), Evgeny Kondratyuk (66 kg) and Albert Daayev (90 kg), and also Pavel Yunusov from Magnitogorsk (81 kg) became winners of tournament. Got three more "gold" guests from Kazakhstan, including the first prize from veterans of sports.

- We founded a special prize in superheavy category where Grigory Verichev fought and shone. This year tournament replaced the status with youth on adult, and, I think, it will help to come to new quality. The competition, rapid growth of results will be stronger, - the president of the Union of veterans of sambo and judo of a name of Harris Yusupova Vyacheslav Popov considers.

The bronze medallist of youthful superiority of the world and Europe-2012 Alexey Sapunov last year argued in the final for an honourable trophy. This year it returned to Chelyabinsk on the eve of tournament - arrived from training collecting from Japan. At the opening ceremony of competitions to the pupil of the honored trainer of Russia Andrey Vostrikov handed over the certificate and a sign of the master of sports.

- I while in a junior team of Russia, me here to act two more years. It is necessary to show results in this age group, and then already smoothly to pass a men's team, - the silver prize-winner of superiority of Russia-2013 on judo among juniors Alexey Sapunov shared plans.

The athlete is still very young and therefore won't be able to fight for the permit to the World Cup-2014 in judo in Chelyabinsk. But if the busy schedule of trainings allows, Alexey with pleasure will visit the championship as the viewer.
