In sport center "Nadezha" open team championship on judo "Battle of Kulikovo" took place. To hold in the city sports competitions under such name – an initiative of the mayor Victor Franz. For this purpose the victory of the resident of Orsk Dmitry Kulikova in the judo championship of Russia was the cause.

Then the town governor suggested to organize in the city in honor of the winner tournament on cup of Dmitry Kulikov. Then the name for competitions — "Battle of Kulikovo" was thought up also. Today competitions took part in these 5 teams. From them 3 from Orsk are pupils of sports schools "Yunost", "Nadezhda" and "Palace of Pioneers", and also on one team from Orenburg and Novotroitsk.

As a result first place in competitions was won by pupils of DYuSSh "Nadezhda", judoists got the second from sports school "Yunost", bronze at team from Orenburg, the fourth place belongs to Novotroitsk athletes.
