What 2013 became history for a big judo family of Uzbekistan, how many medals and on what tournaments the athletes won, what events and achievements marked a season, the head of federation of judo of Uzbekistan, the sports director of the international federation of judo Armen Bagdasarov told about plans for the 2014th and many other.

-  First post-Olympic year.  Whether it is possible to consider it successful?

- As a whole yes, it was such what it was. Remembering the largest tournaments of the expiring year, there were many bright victories. For example, two medals on the XXVII World summer University games in Kazan. Silver Yakhje Imamov (-81 kg) won, bronze – Soib Kurbanov (-100 kg). Two medals on a traditional Grand Slam tournament in Paris started the 2013th (gold – Yakhje Imamov and bronze – Dilshod Choriyev). In the April championship of Asia in Bangkok children won two bronze medals. And this with the fact that we exposed younger athletes. Not absolutely successfully this year we acted on a WCh in Brazil. Soib Kurbanov remained in a step from a medal, having taken the fifth place, and Ramziddin Saidov – the seventh. But in team competitions we entered the five of the strongest in the Brazilian World Cup.

It should be noted progress of our young judoists. This year there were many new names. Children talented, gifted, while they as if frameless diamonds over which facet skilled trainers work. For example, at the II youthful Asian Games in the Chinese Nanjing from 6 athletes five won medals – one gold (Doston Ruziyev (-55 kg), on two silver and bronze. And in the championship of Asia among cadets and juniors in Chinese Hainan children won 10 medals. Besides, the permit to the II junior Olympic Games-2014 was got by our judoist Sukhrob Tursunov. Year was marked also by recognition of judoists from the state. Yakhje Imamov and Mirzakhid Farmonov were entitled "The honored athlete of Uzbekistan". Recognition, having become winners of the state award "Ejtirof" received also Vyacheslav Peretyko – the mentor of the youth national team in the nomination "The Best Trainer of Year" and the winner of youthful Asian Igr-2013 in the Chinese Nanjing Doston Ruziyev in the nomination "The Best Young Athlete of Year".

The 2013th was included in the chronicle of federation of judo of Uzbekistan large-scale action – carrying out tournament of a series Gran Pri who passed in Tashkent from October 4 to October 6. For the first time the federation of judo of Uzbekistan acted as the organizer of the most prestigious world forum of such level. The prize fund of tournament made 100 thousand dollars of the USA. The athlete received a significant amount of rating points for successful participation, and final duels were broadcast online on the satellite in the HD format. The medal collection of the national team of Uzbekistan pleased fans, 5 medals of the highest test, 3 silver and 5 bronze were won. To the word about tournaments of the 2014th.  Since January 6 it is necessary to judoists joint collecting with athletes of Kazakhstan.  Competitive season in February of the 2014th competitions will traditionally open the Grand Slam in Paris.  Then Gran Pri in Düsseldorf, a number of Grand Slam tournaments, Gran Pri and Masters.  Certainly, World Cup and Asian Games.

- We couldn't but ask a question concerning Abdullah Tangriyev's return which disqualification expires in June, 2014, and position of the double world champion, twice the bronze prize-winner of the Olympic Games Rishod Sobirov.

 -  As for Abdullah Tangriyev, he started active trainings.  Judging by responses of trainers during the last educational and training collecting, it starts entering a form.  The special program of preparation for the major tournaments of the 2014th is developed for it.  For us it is important that it approached to them in a good form not only physically, but also psychologically.  It isn't simple to pass two year for any athlete.  But strong character, Abdullah's will, I think, will play a role.  It, first of all, will prove to itself(himself).
