The main feature of this tournament was that circumstance that the judoists of Kazakhstan acting in weight category to 60 kilograms took part in it.

In Kazakhstan judoists in weight category to 60 kilograms traditionally are considered the strongest in the country. It is possible to mark out such eminent fighters, as: Bazarbek Donbay — the champion of Asia of 2004 and the owner of the 5th place at the Athenian Olympic Games of 2004, Salamat Utarbayev — the prize-winner of the championship of Asia and the owner of the 5th place in the World Cup of 2005, Eldos Smetov — the world champion among youth, the winner of the World Cup stages, the numerous prize-winner of series of tournaments of "Grand Slam" and world "Grand Prix".

On December 16, 2013 in the city Karazhal, the Karaganda region the school of judo accepted on the tatami of the strongest judoists of the country in weight category to 60 kg. Traditionally this tournament is held in day of celebration of the most important holiday of our sovereign state — the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. One of the main tasks of the organized competitions is education at younger generation of feeling of patriotism, love to the Homeland and pride of the country.

In the first day of guests of honor of tournament Akim Karazhala K.G. Shormanbayev who greeted received and thanked all guests of tournament, trainers, the judge and representatives of teams.

The state wrestling judo coach of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Bayzhumanov in the performance thanked on behalf of federation of judo of the Republic of Kazakhstan of Akim Karazhal, city federation of judo, organizing committee and personally Duysenbaya Tazhkeevich for the organization and carrying out this tournament. 

To tournament as guests were invited: Akim of the city of Karazhal Shormanbayev Kayrat Gosmanovich, the state judo coach of RK Yerzhan Tokenovich Bayzhumanov (Astana), the judge of the international category, the referee director of federation of judo of RK M. Nurtazin (Families), ZTRK on judo, the veteran of sports A. Baybusinov (Almaty regional), ZTRK I. Zhumabayev (Kyzylorda), the honourable figure of sports B. Daniyarov (Astana), ZTRK S. Kaliyev (Alma-Ata).

Due to the passing of educational and training collecting (according to the planned schedule on RK judo for 2013), in tournament leading judoists of a national team of team on judo couldn't take part in this weight category, but it wasn't reflected in beauty and staginess of duels on a tatami. 

The general prize fund of tournament made 900 thousand tenges.  Winners and prize-winners of tournament, and also their trainers were awarded by diplomas of the corresponding degrees, medals and monetary prizes.
