In the Bulgarian small town Samokov starts the judo European championship among athletes who didn't reach 23-year age.
In total, on continental superiority Ukraine delegated 17 judoists: 9 children and 8 girls. According to the trainer female youth
team Anna Kashtanovoy, each of these athletes is the real applicant for awards.
"A command we amicable – in collective have no distributions on age, all communicate as equals. It can't but please! We not unreasonably hope that the Ukrainian judoists will have medals. At least, on forces to take a women's team at least two awards, but all have chances absolutely. The matter is that each of eight girls declared on the youth European championship, has huge motivation. For example, for the majority of them is the last chance to win an award of youth ChE and with quiet soul to step in adult judo. On the other hand, young Lisa Kalanina and Nastya Turchin only just came to a youth team from the junior national team so they will be not crushed by a load of responsibility for result. It will help them to be liberated and show bright fight!"
It is far from shapkozakidatelsky moods and the leader of a man's youth team Dmitry Luchin. It, and also the representative of our command in a weight to 66 kg Gevorg Hachatryan, already have experience of performance in the adult World Cup (!) and many prestigious international competitions. But gold on the forthcoming ChE (U-23) for the Luchin is business basic. I hope that in Bulgaria I will manage to deliver a greasy point in the "youth" career, and at last to ascend to the highest step of a pedestal. All thoughts only about a victory! ".
And here for 18-year-old Anastasia Turchin everything only begins! The judoist from Rovno brag of a medal of junior superiority of Europe, but at youth level it still didn't find glory. "While I not especially worry, but everything will change when we will arrive to Bulgaria! It is worth specifying that adrenaline helps me rather, than hinders. What tasks I put before myself? I want to reach the final, but the main thing - to show good wrestling. For achievement of result I often should fight, so to speak, from the competitor, to force it to be mistaken and receive "shido". Especially, when the opponent is higher and is more skilled than me. But on Europe I will try to do more throws and beautifully to win! ".
"Youth judo doesn't differ special stability, it is difficult to expect something for certain, - the high trainer of man's combined Ukraine Vitaly Dubrova considers. - 23 years are an awkward age for the athlete! But nevertheless we expect successful performance, the national team of Ukraine always showed good results. Last year on youth ChE we had five medals, in before last - three, and one of them gold. Therefore I am sure that without medals we won't remain".
By the tradition, the first on a tatami there will be representatives of the easiest weight categories (see national team composition), and we will wish to Ukrainians of good luck, beautiful and spectacular victories! We hold fists for ours …
