Recently on the basis of a sporting complex of the Lvov academy of veterinary medicine and biotechnologies of a name. S. Gzhitsky the XVIII traditional All-Ukrainian tournament on judo among youth, young men (1997-1999, 2000-2001, 2002-2003), girls (2000-2003) and adults on prizes of World of the Child publishing house took place. This year these competitions are devoted to the 140 anniversary since the birth of I.Boberskogo and the 75th anniversary of creation of the Lvov area.

Organizers of competitions control of youth and sports of the Lvov regional state administration, World of the Child publishing house, Lvov regional federation of judo and specialized child junior school of the Olympic reserve "Athlete" appeared.

Let's mark that operation of the judicial casing of competitions headed: The deserved trainer of Ukraine, the judge of national category, the principal judge of competitions - Alexander Bavshin and the high trainer of a national team of the Lvov area, the judge of national category, the principal secretary of competitions - Tatyana Gavrilova.

414 best athletes who represented 33 commands took part in competitions.

Among representatives of an adult national team of the Lvov area winners in the categories became:

- among men: 60 kg. - Melnichuk M. (SK LGUFK), 66 kg. - Drebot V. (sports school "Athlete"), 73 kg. - Lozinsky T. (Sports school "Athlete"), 81 kg. - Ilchuk V. (KDYuSSh "Athlete"), 96 kg. - Tuvakov K. (SK WELL of Franco), + 100 kg. - Spiridonov A. (KDYuSSh "Athlete");

- among women: 60 kg. - Golovchak O. (SK WELL "Lvovskayapolitekhnika"), 78 kg. - Trifan V. (No. 2 sports school), + 78 kg. - Kirichenko V. (No. 2 sports school).
