International "The judo festival" took place III in Donetsk on October 25-26, 2013 in Druzhba sports palace. The festival was dated for the international day of judo, collected thousands audience and presented to guests unforgettable sports show with participation of world stars of judo. Two days on three tatamis of DS "Friendship" more than 600 judoists of all age showed skill and fought for a rank of the best. Within a large-scale sports event passed four tournaments: "Children's League of judo-2013", "The open championship of Ukraine among veterans", "20 International tournament on judo in honor of the Deserved trainer of Ukraine Yu.M.Zusera", "The open Absolute judo championship of Ukraine". "The judo festival" was held as before on the eve of the world day of judo which is celebrated on October 28.

Rodion Butko, president of Federation of judo of Donetsk region, vice-president of Federation of judo of Ukraine: "Such large-scale action as "A judo festival" is a first step to a goal – carrying out in Donetsk of prestigious competitions of level of the Grand Prix under the auspices of the European union of judo (EJU) or the international federation of judo (IJF). Carrying out tournaments of the international level – our main goal. Having shown the excellent organization and opportunity to hold rating tournaments, very much we hope that Ukraine will soon accept athletes of one of stages of the Continental Cup or the Cup of Europe among men and women. By the way, in the 2014th year in Donetsk the European championship among veterans" will be held.

The victory of the Donetsk judoist Artem Bloshenko in the Open Absolute Championship of Ukraine among men became the main event of "A judo festival". 22 titled judoists took part in competitions from 10 countries, in particular: Ilias Iliadis (Greece), Adam Okruashvili (Georgia), Yury Krakovetsky (Kyrgyzstan), Alexander Vakhovyak (Belarus), Maryus Pashkyavichus (Lithuania), Andrey Volkov (Russia), Boltoboy Baltayev (Uzbekistan), Daniel Natya (Romania), Stanislav Bondarenko (Ukraine), Roy Meyer (Holland).

Vitaly Dubrova, senior trainer of the national team of Ukraine: "We are very glad to welcome on tournament of athletes of a world class. Arrival of such titled participants confirms once again growing popularity of tournament and the status of the Ukrainian judo on the world sports scene. The prize fund of the Absolute championship this year corresponded to Grand Slam series tournaments.

"20 International tournament on judo in honor of the Deserved trainer of Ukraine Yu.M.Zusera" - competitions brought together about 300 participants from CIS countries and Eastern Europe.
