On competitions athletes juniors from all corners of Ukraine and neighboring countries gathered.

Judo today — one of popular sports, since 1964 — is included into the program of Olympic Games. It not simply wrestling, and the whole philosophy which is based on two main principles: mutual aid and understanding — for achievement of bigger progress, and also the best use of a body and spirit.

Before athletes judoists the purposes are traditionally set: physical training, consciousness improvement that demands discipline, persistence, self-checking, observance of etiquette, understanding of a ratio between success and efforts necessary for its achievement. From early age on it focus athletes and trainers of the Odessa city federation of judo.

 Vitaly Yuzhakov, senior trainer of public organization "Odessa City Federation of Judo and Sambo":  In what essence?  Judo is a soft way to a victory, feature its this single combat.  In France all at school are engaged in judo, it teaches children of dexterity, it strengthens.

On the international tournament more than one hundred participants from the different countries gathered. Here and known team of judo of "Sambo-70" from Moscow, the national team of Kishinev, guests from the Crimea and Transnistria. Children devote the most part of the life to occupations by this noble type of martial arts.

Artem, participant of tournament (Moscow): I am engaged the sixth year. Very much it is pleasant to me, we have a good collective, compete much. Why decided to be engaged in judo — I saw how children train, and too decided to be engaged and become one of them.

Ivan, participant of tournament (Odessa): I am engaged in this sport from 8 years - the 5th year. By an example of the father - he is the master of sports, only on sambo. These two sports very much are among themselves similar.

Each of athletes during tournament not once should act on a tatami — duels intense, children put all forces in each wrestling. Judge duels of participants of tournament — skilled and impartial judges.

Vitaly Yuzhakov, senior trainer of public organization "Odessa City Federation of Judo and Sambo":  Share on age and share on category of weight — to 50 to 60 kg, and then among themselves they play champions of superiority.

According to participants and organizers of the international tournament on judo — its main objective promoting and development of this type of martial arts.

Igor Lafazan, president of public organization "Odessa City Federation of Judo and Sambo":  These tournaments will regularly take place our task to revive traditions of judo … … promoting of this sport.  It – Olympic, today judo federation the most numerous and by quantity engaged concedes only to soccer.

Winners of tournament were awarded by cups, honourable medals and diplomas.
