The pupil of sports club Loksa Evgenia Saleev, acting in category to 81 kg, could protect the title of the winner won last year. The value of a victory is that in the first duel he could win against the last year's finalist of the Swiss Dominica Zommer, and in decisive fights was stronger than representatives of the Russian judo of George Makaryan and Anton Nikiforov.

Also tartusky judoist Yukhan Mettis acting in category over 100 kg became the winner of tournament. In circular tournament from five participants it won all four victories, including over the Russian Artem Panin and the Dutch Pascal Sherenberg.

With silver awards tallinnets Alexander Marmelyuk and Grigory Minashkin home returned. Marmelyuk in category to 90 kg won two duels, but conceded in the ending to Dutch Remko van den Brinck. Minashkin in category to 100 kg won against Swede Victor Karlsson, but conceded to Russian Azamat Citymov.

As a result the national team of Estonia took the second place in the general offset, having conceded only to Russians. In total 142 judoists made a speech at competitions in Tampere from 16 countries.

The head coach of the national team of Estonia Alexey Budylin remained is happy not only results, but also that class which his wards showed: "At competitions all children coped completely with objectives, even those who lost in the ending. For today our athletes showed a maximum of that could, but it is especially possible to note Evgeny Saleev's progress. At once I will tell that we specially didn't prepare for this tournament, were engaged generally in physical preparation in the summer and only three last weeks carried out in trainings on a carpet. It was the first serious tournament after a long break, and in the ending there were worthy rivals though generally on tournament there was not the strongest structure. Nevertheless, I am happy with quality of fight, physical readiness and that spirit with which our children came to matches. We strengthened that knowledge which were received earlier, revealed mistakes so competitions took place fruitfully"
