On September 22 on the basis of the universal sporting complex "Stara Zagora" of the city Samara took place scale competitions – the judo Championship of armed forces of the Russian Federation .
The championship of Armed forces took place at the same time on two tatamis. Number of the declared participants and technical capability of a sporting complex allowed organizers to hold tournament in one day. 99 athletes (87 young men and 12 girls) measured swords forces for an output in the championship of Russia which will take place on October 8-13 in St. Petersburg. Organizers of competitions and the receiving end FAU MO Russian Federation CSKA branch (TsSK Air Force, Samara) appeared.
In total representatives of 22 subjects of the Russian Federation gathered on tournament. The Samara region was provided by 13 athletes: 10 young men and 3 girls. By results of the championship representatives of Samara: Turpal Sangiriyev (to 66 kg), Stepan Ivanov (100+ kg), Ekaterina Magzumova (to 57 kg) and Valentina Kostenko (to 63 kg) – will provide the region on the All-Russian competitions in St. Petersburg.
The team of TsSK Air Force (Samara) was represented by pupils of sporting school by the Olympic types (SSSh DYUORK): Vitaly Syrkin (weight category to 90 kg) and Alexander Vasilyev (to 60 kg). However young wrestlers didn't reach final duels.
President SAMROO "Judo federation" Ivan Motynga commented on carrying out the championship of Armed forces in Samara: "It is good that now the tradition of carrying out similar competitions again revives. For participants is additional possibility of selection on the championship of Russia. And as a whole I mark the positive changes in the sports development plan in Russia, for example, restoration of sporting companies: for young men of 16-17 years is an excellent chance for continuation of sporting career, combining it with service in army".
