As a part of a national team of Finland the only Chechen athlete Vadud Balatkhanov took part in it. In weight category  60 kg Vadud began competitions by a victory over Bernhard Lang from Austria ippony on the 36th second. Slightly more than a minute Balatkhanov needed for a victory over the Israeli Shemeshom in the second fight. Then victories over skilled French judoist Kadu-Duke and Italian Daniel Lombardo were won. In the ending Vadud met David Pulkrabek from the Czech Republic. At first Pulkrabek got advantage for the account shido (prevention). However the pleasure of the Czech was short. In the middle of fight Balatkhanov earned an assessment yuko, and then won suffocating reception.

Vadud Balatkhanov is the repeated champion of Finland among young men, juniors and adults. And also numerous winner and prize-winner of Euro cups and international tournaments.
