87 athletes participated in competitions on a tatami in a universal sports complex at DVO SKA stadium of a name of Lenin from eight regions of the Far East. Among them as a part of the national team of Primorsky Krai there were athletes from the Artemovsky city district. This is Evgeny Bozhinsky - the candidate for the master of sports and the champion of edge on judo, and also Victor Storozhenko - the candidate for the master of sports, the prize-winner of Russia and the champion of edge on judo.

From twelve rivals in weight category to 100 kg Evgeniy Bozhinsky  reached a consolatory meeting for the 3rd place, having conceded to the athlete from the city of Khabarovsk, as a result played 5-6 places. In category over 100 kg the first place was taken by Victor Storozhenko – he held three meetings which ended ahead of schedule, having won against rivals of Khabarovsk territory, Kamchatka and Primorye. Despite a long break in trainings, it became the champion of the Far East on judo and won the right to participation in the championship of Russia which will take place in December in the city of Yekaterinburg.

"Rivals were strong, the best judoists of the Far East participated. Fight for a title of the winner lasted two days. Participation in the championship of Russia" was incentive for successful performances, - the titled champion of the Far East on judo Victor Storozhenko tells.

Today the new sports ground for judo development in Artem prepares. The administration of the district allocated a gym in which trainers and athletes of the city do repair and buy stock for occupations in sports sections. Big support in development of judo is given by the president of federation on sambo and judo Alexey Pisarenko together with the Stroyinvest company in the person of Evgeny Siginur.

After the end of competitions children managed to support an ice-hockey team of Primorsky Krai "Admiral" which won the Khabarovsk Cupid team with the score 4:3. 7000 viewers were brought together by the arena of the Ice palace in the city of Khabarovsk. "Performance was spectacular, a victory worthy", - the champion of the Far East on judo Victor Storozhenko commented on game.
