Competitions by tradition took place in sport center of Yu.V.Shumilov where numerous fans, participants and the audience gathered. This tournament is significant not only for inhabitants and athletes of the city of Minusinsk, but also for native Vladimir Pavlovich. At competitions there was his daughter Maria. The present observed a minute of silence for memory of the deserved trainer of Russia.

The mayor of Minusinsk Natalia Fedotova, the vice-chairman of Minusinsk city council of deputies Mikhail Zenchenko, deputies of Minusinsk city council, representatives a city administration became guests of honor of tournament.

Tournament is held in Minusinsk the third year in a row. Every year competitions accept the increasing scale and this time the southern capital of the region visited more than hundred athletes, on which account numerous awards and prize-winning places for participation in competitions of various level. Altai, Tyva took part in competitions, Omsk, Kemerovo, Irkutsk, Novosibirsk areas, the Altai, Krasnoyarsk Krai and owners of competitions – team of the city of Minusinsk of 112 athletes representing national teams of Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Tajikistan, the Republics of Buryatia.

The judiciary board was representative also. The chief judge of competitions – the judge of the Olympic category, the deserved trainer of Russia – Andrey Shpanagel, the technical delegate of Federation of judo of Russia, the judge of the international category of Elman Telman-ogla Kurbanov.

Minusinsk was represented by six athletes. Each of them showed the professionalism, level of sports preparation, wrestling spirit and the will to win. In weight category to 90 kg Pavel Yudin became the silver prize-winner, and in weight category to 73 kilograms the unconditional victory was won by Alamsho Israilov.

The main prize of 50 thousand rubles was played by a lottery among all winners, got to Taskin Alexey from the Altai territory, to the winner in weight category over 100 kg.

Tournament of a name  Vladimir Shchedrukhin became not only a bright sports show. In a festive atmosphere celebrated the athletes who have shown outstanding successes in the current year. According to the order of the Ministry of Sport, Tourism and Youth Policy of the Russian Federation on tournament the certificate of the master of sports of Russia of the international class on judo was handed over to the pupil of Minusinsk school of judo, the member of a national team of Russia – Ekaterina Sheremetova.

Celebrated also bronze prize-winner of the VI Sports contest of pupils of Russia on judo – Alexander Shlyabin. Besides, certificates were handed over by the candidate for the master of sports of Russia to pupils of child junior sports school of Accusative of Shchedrukhin Tatyana Himko, Roman Sergeenko, Yury Akimkin, Evgenia Pykhteev.
