One of organizers of the competitions, known Ryazan trainer Pavel Stenin tells;

– Dispute for awards began nearly hundred young athletes from Ryazan (Muzhestvo sports clubs, SDYuSShOR "The native land Sports"), Kasimova ("Leader"), Sasov, Skopin, village of the Glade of Ryazansky district ("Vityaz"), Izhevsk and Spassk. Widow Nellie Nikolaevna, daughter Diana and relatives of the well-known athlete were dear visitors.

After solemn opening of competitions there came a pore of "hot" duels for all tastes. Flashing throws were replaced by persistent wrestling. The success accompanied the strongest. In the third time in a row Volodya Malyshev from Spassk, won a flawless victory cutting that caused a storm of a bolelshchitsky applause surely appeared. The initiative of the companion was supported by Igor Orlov who has thrown the opponent on a tatami on the fifth second. The wrestler from "Native land" Roman Biryukov didn't leave any chances to the opponents. In a heavy weight Evgeny Kushnerenko ("Courage") showed beautiful wrestling. Masters of a tatami Artem Troshin and Alexander Shanin, Kirill Polezhaev ("Native land") and Nikita Pantyukhin from "Courage" became champions also. From girls of "gold" success achieved Anastasia Bodrov (Spassk), Darya Belonozhko and Anastasia Ryzhov (both is from Izhevsk) and Alexander Krasnenko ("Courage").

Express comment of the principal judge of competitions, arbitrator of the All-Russian category Gennady Zudashkin: "I consider necessary to mark good advertizing promotion of competitions. Around the city, in educational institutions the colourful, well issued posters were hung out. As a result at competitions there was a lot of audience – children, teenagers, adults. Members of parent committee of the local sporting combining "Honour Way" prepared fragrant tea, in a soldier's mobile kitchen – buckwheat cereal with a stewed meat. In case of such excellent organization of competitions, in case of such attention to them from a municipal manual, I find possible increase of the status of tournament to interregional and All-Russian".
