Sergey Belin: "The international festival of judo in the Altai territory – an important event for us which value can't be overestimated"

The international festival of judo in Siberian federal district will take place in sport center "Victory" from May 31 to June 2. Teams of Krasnoyarsk Krai, the Republics of Altai, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and also the national teams of Irkutsk, Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Omsk, Kemerovo areas will take part in it. The festival is held in Barnaul for the tenth time with support of society of assistance of single combats "Fatherland", the national Union of judo, administration of the Altai territory on physical culture and sport, regional Federation of judo, SDYuSShOR "Sparta".
The main initiator and one of sponsors of festivals in Siberia – the deserved master of sports, the fivefold world champion, the vice-president of the national Union of judo, the pupil of sports school "Sparta" Vladimir Shkalov (Moscow).

Differently, organizers conduct ten years in a row very serious work. And result of this work is the high reputation of our festival. In it there is no exaggeration: The international festival of judo in Siberian federal district is included in the Russian and international sports calendars, to us to the region there come hundreds athletes from the neighboring regions, the strongest judoists from other countries. In other words, our festival – a sporting event of high level. Passing a hearth of such competitions, judoists increase skill. So, many successful athletes who protect today honor of the country at the international competitions of the highest rank, won in due time victories in duels at our festival.
It is impossible to forget that the festival of judo is not only duels of judoists of six age categories. Its program includes an imezhdunarodny sports center. The participants of a festival acting in the first day, at the beginning of the second competitive day are engaged in "Pobeda", carry out control fights with rivals. It is very good way of improvement of sports skill, an exchange of experience for trainers.
Special value of a festival, in my opinion, also that it draws attention to judo, shows, this sport is how popular. Besides, it is necessary to consider that actively working regional federation of judo which is supported of the region authorities can have such holiday today only. Not casually after all our festival a few years ago was a nazvanluchshy children's sporting event of Russia.
Besides, such festival helps us to strengthen contacts with sports associations in other countries, it becomes as a result simpler to organize departures on competitions to other countries, for example, to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan or Mongolia", - Sergey Belin emphasizes.
