The Kuban judoists helped Russian national team to win gold of the International team youthful tournament on judo of memory of Hero of the Soviet Union V. Y.Petrov on prizes of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
This year anniversary competitions took place among young men of 1996-98 year of birth. Part in tournament was taken by ten teams – Russian national teams, Japan, Lithuania, St. Petersburg, the North Western, Far East, Volga and Central federal districts, Chechnya and the Moscow region, the press service of the ministry of sports of Kuban reports.
Russian national team became the winner of tournament. In a line-up gold won: Rustam Zabolotny (50 kg), Evgeny Arsentyev (55 kg), Tagir Tagirov (60 kg), Pavel Ershov (66 kg), Gamzat Zurgarayev (73 kg), Mikhail Igolnikov (81 to. Krasnodar Krai), Karen Palyan (90 kg, Krasnodar Krai), Ruslan Shakhbazov (over 90 kg, Krasnodar Krai).
During tournament the Russian national team with ease won the subgroup against the national teams of Lithuania (8:0), St. Petersburg (6:2), the Central federal district (8:0) and Far East federal district (8:0). In a semi-final collections "dry" played rivals from team of the Moscow region (8:0). Petersburgers couldn't reject pressure and in the ending – 7:1 in favor of Russian national team. The national team of Japan got bronze medals and team of the Moscow region.
