Vasily Grigoryevich Luka by right was considered as the best judo coach of Moldova. Since 1972 it worked as the head coach in a republican sports boarding school where prepared hundreds athletes supporting USSR national teams and Moldova. Now his pupils successfully work at a trainer's field worldwide, from Europe to America, Canada and Australia.

Vasily Grigoryevich died last year, and the Federation of judo of Moldova decided to hold the international tournament of his memory.

Young men and juniors took part in fights from Moldova, Romania, Belarus and Ukraine, in total over 250 young athletes.  In 9 of 16 weight categories in two groups children from republican sports lyceum became winners.  Vasily Grigoryevich's son ― Andrey Luka, also the judo coach, told the correspondent of "Panorama" that these first awards in memory of his father will be the most expensive in sports lyceum.
