On March 7 in MOUDOD SDYUSSHOR on wrestling of judo of the Kopeisk city district with support of GOO "Association of Wrestling Single Combats of the Kopeisk City District" passed the I open spring tournament on judo among the girls, devoted to the International Women's Day

57 sportswomen took part in tournament from 13 territories: Tobolsk (Tyumen region), Kopeisk, Chelyabinsk, Tchebarkul, Kunashaksky and Argayashsky areas. Young judoists acted in three age groups and 13 weight categories.

On the account Kopeisk sportswomen had 12 medals, three of them — for the first place. Anastasia Kostrovets got "gold" (in the weight of 44 kg among girls 1999 – 2000), Tatyana Pridannikova (in the weight of 30 kg) and Anastasia Holodilina (in weight more than 52 kg among girls 2001 – 2002). Also residents of Kopeysk won five silver and four bronze medals.

Participants of tournament competed not only in skill of conducting fight. Among sportswomen competition on the best name for competitions was declared. Among a set of various options the organizing committee of competitions preferred the name "Ural Asterisks" which was offered by the sportswoman from Tobolsk Lyubov Orlova. For the shown imagination the Tobolsk judoist awarded with a special prize.
