In the Tver region passed tournament on Judo on prizes of special forces of law enforcement agencies

On February 24 in the Tver House of sports "Youth" there took place the III Open regional tournament on judo among boys and girls on prizes of special forces of law enforcement agencies of the Tver region.

Participants and guests of tournament were welcomed by Governor Andrey Shevelev, the chairman of Legislative Assembly, the president of Federation of judo of the region Andrey Epishin, the Chief of UMVD of Russia across the Tver region police major general Yury Rychkov.

Pupils of the trainer-teacher of section "Tverskaya of regional school of single combats" of the operative took part in competitions by tradition on especially important issues of the Tver SOBR of Edward Butko also.

Popularity of this sport grows in the region every year. Today judo are engaged nearly two thousand our fellow countrymen. Annually fighters of the Upper Volga bring many awards of prestigious competitions in an area moneybox. The Tver region becomes a venue of the international competitions in this sport – here traditionally passes a cup-final of Europe.

At today's tournament – special value. And not casually it is carried out on prizes of the glorified special forces. Yesterday all country celebrated Day of the defender of the Fatherland, and in these divisions each employee – a striking example of service to the Homeland. The chief of UMVD of Russia across the Tver region Yury Rychkov and Governor Andrey Shevelev congratulated participants of tournament on a holiday, having wished honest fight on a tatami and gains of new sports tops.

- The organization of such competitions becomes important part of patriotic and educational work with our youth. Their participants not only will test the strength and dexterity, but also will have a rare opportunity to get acquainted with samples of the modern weapon and military equipment, - the head of the region noted. - I think, for many children fighters of special forces, real men become a reference point in further life.

- The idea of such tournament is very actual: after all judo as any other type of single combats, promotes harmonious development of children and teenagers, - the president of regional federation of judo, the chairman of Legislative Assembly of the Tver region Andrey Epishin noted in the welcome speech to participants of competitions. - The code of the judoist demands self-discipline, persistence, perfect observance of rules. It is sure that competitions will be useful to all children and girls. For winners they become a new step of skill, and lost will force to train even more persistently.

- Judo as the sport, develops the will to win, force at children and brings up them in patriotic spirit, in love to the Fatherland. To protect the country - it is necessary to be strong. And to be strong, it is necessary to prepare for it since the childhood, - the commander of the Tver SOBR Artem Gatayev considers.

Competitions took place one day. For medals more than 250 athletes fought. Following the results of the strongest were defined. Cups, medals and memorable diplomas are handed over to winners. Besides, special awards were received by fighters "for the best equipment" and "for the will to win".
